Reviews of Tiger’s
"This is a hidden gem in the northwest Houston area and has been a great little restaurant for us to find gluten-free Chinese food at. We particularly love their dry fried spicy fish, wood ear mushrooms, and shrimp rolls! Highly recommend. We'll be back again! #glutenfree"
"Food is delicious here, and one of the most affordable Chinese restaurants we've found in Houston so far. The hot and spicy dumplings are always a good choice and we get them every time we go. The Chengdu sliced grilled fish was good and the spice level with the peppercorns was good. Other things we've tried that was decent - steamed dumplings, pork xialongbao (not pictured), and shumai (not pictured). Our second time around, we tried the pork belly, which was delicious! The sweet sauce reminded me of tastes from when I was younger. I also tried Taiwanese beef noodle soup for the first time. It was very flavorful and good, although a bit oily and not my fave Asian noodles so prob won't order it again. I'd definitely like to go back and try more of their spicy seafood dishes. This is the best Sichuan flavored restaurant I've found so far without having to drive all the way into Midtown."
"Food was great, back of house service was spot on. Whoever ran the food out was a hustler. Great taste and came out hot. We got the chicken potstickers as an appetizer, then Orange Chicken and Beef with Broccoli."
"Went here upon recommendation from another foodie friend. Very small and unassuming little space. We were greeted promptly and seated. Minimalist decor and very clean establishment. We just had a couple items to try and they were excellent is taste and presentation. We had the beef wrap, lamb with cumin and the Taiwanese noodle soup. Beef wrap consisted of thinly sliced beef with scallions and cilantro wrapped in a tortilla. It wasn't served with a sauce and that was a bit disappointing. It definitely needs a dipping sauce. The lamb with cumin was spicy and delicious. The fragrance and taste of the spice was telling. Lamb was tender. Onions a bit overcooked for my preference but overall a very tasty dish. Not something that you find at any Asian restaurants... will try the beef with cumin next time. And now..drum roll please...the Taiwanese noodle soup was awesome and really hit the spot for me. They have 3 levels of spicy and I chose number 2. You are forewarned that it is extremely spicy and contains ghost pepper. It was well seasoned and I got about 5 chunks of beef. I did miss not having a bit more veggies to go with the soup. For a fiery spice addict such as myself... it was something to remember. I couldn't drink all the broth because it was a bit overwhelming after some time. All in all, super pleasant experience, awesome food and pleasant service. Will definitely be returning. Do give it a try."
"Overall, good food. Ordered to go. Garlic beef was $11.95, and was a small serving. Didn’t taste garlic. Was supposed to be a little spicy and was not. However—everything was cooked correctly (beef and broccoli). Fried seafood lo mein was $8.95 and good portion size. The whole dish lacked seasoning. Everything (noodles, shrimp, cuttlefish) was slightly overcooked. Veggie egg rolls were crispy and standard. Not exciting. In a pinch, would go back."
