"In the illustrious tapestry of our local dining scene, Hank's Fish Market has long been a beacon for those seeking the simple pleasures of maritime fare. Nestled in a neighborhood where culture runs as deep as the ocean itself, Hank's has, until now, been a reliable port for many a hungry sailor after a long week's voyage. As a once devoted patron, my sails have been unfurled in anticipation of their famed Shrimp Fried Rice, a dish that promised to anchor a festive family gathering. Alas, this voyage into the culinary seas was met not with the warm embrace of flavor but with the stormy seas of distress. Our crew, a hearty and resilient family, was besieged by a turbulent storm of gastrointestinal woes that lasted longer than any storied sea monster's wrath—three days, to be precise. A closer inspection of our rations revealed a traitor amidst the ranks: the subtle yet unmistakably foul scent of spoilage. In this vibrant but underserved quarter of our community, options for dining are as scarce as fresh water in the open sea, making the disappointment not just personal but a communal tragedy. Furthermore, Hank's insistence on a cash-only policy raises the Jolly Roger suspicion, hinting at a booming treasure chest, albeit not with the spoils one would hope for. With a heavy heart and a lighter stomach, I must cast a bottle into the ocean of public opinion, warning fellow gastronomic adventurers to navigate away from these troubled waters. Here's to smoother sailing ahead, hoping that Hank's Fish Market might one day right its ship and once again offer a safe harbor for those of us seeking refuge in the storm."
"Rode up on this place on another adventure n turn out to be the best stop I made they have fresh whole catfish n live Crawfish as well as trout. They only accept cash fresh fried catfish. Fresh fresh is all I can say the older lady was friendly n greeted you with the biggest smile. I will be back shrimp fried rice with a shrimp in every bite"
"The food is usually good but Don’t go by the menu prices online. I did and was charged differently when I picked up my food. When advised that they should update the info, the clerk said they have no access to it which is crazyyyyy to me lol"
"The flavor and quality of this food has never changed! It’s been over 10+ years since I visited this place and it is still one of my favorites to grab good “hood food” lol. The chicken and fish is still fresh and crispy! The fried rice is not doing to much it’s basic fried rice and it’s perfect and the prices are even great! Most places will charge you separate for sides it comes with sides!! 8-10 . Still would recommend going! *they only take cash!"
"I did a five star review before but I took that back after a couple of bad visits. I take back everything I said before about this place! This "used" to be my favorite hood fish place, but not anymore! I've always got perfectly fried fish and shrimp but this day it was horrible...not to mention the "hair" that was in my food! I drove all the way over there because I've been wanting some good fish and plus I recently moved and its nothing out here. I get all the way home about 40-45 minutes later, open my plate and there's hair sitting there on the top of the styrofoam tray. I called back and she's like bring it back, I said I live too far, can you just take my name and replace my order next time. The lady told me to freeze the plate and bring it the next time I go...needless to say I will not be going back! Oh yeah, she asked where was the hair? Did it matter!!?? Looking at the fish and shrimp it looked old and the batter was separating from the fish and shrimp like many of the other reviewers pictures. I also order a combination rice without veggies that was very greasy! I don't know if they got new cooks or what but I definitely won't be going back!"
