"We had a delicious brunch here! We made a reservation, but it was not that busy even on a Saturday at noon. Love the decor/atmosphere and our server was super helpful. The food is made with love! My bf got the carne asada and eggs and he really enjoyed it. I got the la guisada with creamed corn and potatoes as my sides. Also delicious! We will definitely be back!"
"Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina, boasting a reputation for Tex-Mex delights, unfortunately didn't quite live up to the hype during our recent brunch visit. While the atmosphere might have whispered cantina charm, the overall experience leaned more towards a discordant note. The biggest culprit? The service. Cold coffee, delivered not once, but twice, despite repeated requests for a steaming brew, cast a chilly shadow over the meal. It's a basic expectation that needs to be met, and unfortunately, Goode Co. stumbled at the first hurdle. My breakfast cheese enchiladas, billed as a Tex-Mex classic, landed somewhere between average and underwhelming. The portion size was generous, a mountain of enchiladas smothered in cheese and crowned with an over-easy egg. Sadly, the flavors missed the mark. The enchiladas lacked that vibrant Tex-Mex punch, leaving me yearning for a bit more spice and oomph. The accompanying rice and beans were decent, but not enough to salvage the dish. Overall, Goode Co. Kitchen & Cantina's brunch was a case of missed opportunities. The service hiccups and lackluster flavors left us disappointed. While the restaurant holds potential, our experience suggests that some serious fine-tuning is needed to reclaim its Tex-Mex crown. For now, I'd recommend seeking your brunch bliss elsewhere. Rating: 7 out of 10 stars. Disappointing service and underwhelming food overshadowed the potential charm of the cantina. This brunch left us cold, both literally and figuratively"
"Today was our first time trying any of the Goode Co. locations and we were very impressed. The look does throw you off a little at first, as it looks very Tex-Mex, but once you try the food, it'll change your mind. Salsa was so much better than any other place in the area, the Chile con queso was great, my wife LOVED the drinks, and tortillas are made in house from scratch! Give it a shot for a family dinner or just to hang out with friends."
"Visited the place for drinks with my friends. The restaurant is very well done up! The walls have quirky art and pieces highlighting Mexican culture. From long horns of all sizes, art to cow boy hats. Very well done up. The mezcal and tequila cocktail and spirits menu is exhaustive and the drinks are ok. Nothing really special however I did have a nice time there."
"Love this addition to the Heights! The atmosphere was very nice and the servers were so friendly. The queso, chips, and salsa were on par with the best in Houston. The fajitas were solid but I would have liked the garlic butter sauce that many other places offer. I appreciated the fact that a cream corn was an offered side with the fajitas. Would love to come back again and try some margaritas. Note- The parking lot the building on is small but there is an additional lot and tons of street parking nearby. We were able to find a spot on the street quickly."
