"So I am not one to usually leave a review, but this place deserved a review. This place is such a great addition to little ol’ Alvin. From the speedy service down to the outstanding food, this place deserved a 5-star from us. Me and my family of 4 shared the family hibachi plate and the Cleveland roll, and there was plenty left over. We will definitely be back!"
"A Mixed Bag with Room for Improvement This place is pretty okay, but I can’t help but see the potential it has. With a few tweaks here and there, it could really be something special. I’ve ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Hibachi Combo plate a few times, and each time it’s been a bit of a hot blob of sauce. It’s like the dish is hiding under all that flavor – a little balance could go a long way! The soups, on the other hand, swung the other way. They were kind of bland and could really use a kick of something to bring out the flavor. It was like they were just going through the motions – warm with a lot of items, but no real flavor. On a brighter note, I did enjoy the sushi and salads. They were fresh, tasty, and a nice change from the other dishes. It’s clear there’s some good stuff happening in the kitchen – it just needs to happen a bit more! All in all, this place has got the basics down, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Here’s hoping they take the opportunity to fine-tune and bring out the best in what they have to offer!"
"Went for the first time this evening and it was very good. Great little spot for Alvin. Service was good. We got asked by several different employees if we were ok and everyone worked as a team. The sushi was good. The seasoned edamame was amazing. The fried rice left a bit to be desired but it didn't break the whole deal."
"This place is great. We got the tempera appetizer, a rainbow roll, a cowboy roll, and the amazing tuna roll. I had some uni sushi as well. We also shared some great cold sake. It was absolutely delicious with great prices. The robot that brings food out is really cute. We will definitely be putting this on our regular rotation for date nights."
