Also, the primary reason I first found this place was because I was seeking a great corn tortilla, a fresh corn tortilla, one made in such a way that when you get them warm & fresh you literally eat half the stack as-is before they even make it home. This lovely place makes, hands down, some of the best fresh corn tortillas in Houston and the pricing is spectacular per pound. An array of fresh salsas, Mexican sodas & treats, homemade tortilla chips and south Texas breads are all on sale here at the Tortillerria Matehuala and whether you want some empanadas or a delicios spicy salsa verde, you will find it. "Fajita is good bbq is so salty. No place to eat inside just order and pick up. They do have sodas. Tortilla are good for a while then fall apart when they get cold. Don't eye ball the green salsa because they will not give it to you even if you ask. Parking lot his horrible! Pot holes every where."

"Best barbacoa i have ever had in Houston. Not greasy at all you feel no guilt eating it. And eggs in salsa verde were also bomb. Very friendly portions! One taco practically makes two normal tacos. Tortillas are delish to take home! And pastries tasted like Mexico if you know you know!"
