"First, the service and people at the Uvalde location are amazing! It is a new location where the old Checkers used to be. Ok, the food. The potato salad tasted like the ones from the tub. The dirty rice was a definite no. The grease is the only flavor to it. And the fried fish taste like powdered white eggs, fried. Worse fish I have ever had! This is not catfish. The fish is not flaky or even minced, it’s just ground up. The kindness of the people and the shrimp and grits (which was really really good) saved this place from a 1 star from me."

"Probably one of the best shrimp and grits ive had but other than that everything was very simple in flavor. If you like fresh fish this is a good go to and the service is nice! They had some kind gentlemen that helped me understand some of the food I was ordering. Im going to come back and try more food but for now it'd say it's a pretty solid place if you want some good seafood on the go. Ordered: 7 fish filets, shrimp and grits, Mac and cheese, hush puppies and banana pudding. (would NOT recommend the banana pudding or the Mac)"

"I ordered fish, shrimp, & red beans. While ordering, I asked what type of fish. The guy stated "catfish". My first impression of my food was that the plate looked a lil skimpy, like I was missing something...it literally looked like somebody ate off of it lol. The fish is not catfish, its giving swai (I had 2 other ppl try it & they said the same). The shrimp & fish had a nice hard batter, but it was not seasoned! Come on yall! Cajun food is all about the savory flavors! The fries were regular, not bad. Hush puppies were good. Red beans were okay. No issues with the service. I will come back to try the wings."
