Hank's Crawfish

"I’m typically not one to review but after what I experienced this evening, I could not resist. I have been coming to Hanks for years & have always received excellent customer service. In short, our initial waitress walked out & quit in the middle of servicing us. The manager, Supreme, picked up where she left off & was absolutely wonderful despite being verbally harassed by another customer. He handled the situation so well! Customer service goes a long way - great food is just a bonus! This is why I don’t eat crawfish anywhere other than Hanks on Highway 6! 10 out of 10 - highly recommend!"

"When we first walked in, we were seated by the hostess to a booth near the bar. The restaurant wasn't super packed, but the shift manager (Chantelle) ended up being the person who was serving us our orders for the evening. She suggested the frozen spicy mango cocktail for starters, which was delicious, and a cup of seafood gumbo and 1/2 dozen oysters on the halfshell as appetizers. The oysters were nice and cold and tasted fresh and not slimy. It also came with a vinegary house dressing that I found quite nice. We told her that it was our first time at Hank's, and she explained the spiciness level of the crawfish, and we went with 4 pounds of the medium spicy with the garlic sauce. It's always a little iffy when visiting an unfamiliar restaurant for the first time, but we were pleasantly surprised. Although some of the crawfish leaned towards the smaller size, the flavor was spot on. You can tell they did not rush the boil and allowed the flavor to fully engulf the crawfish. Also, the gumbo wasn't as spicy as I would have liked it to be, but a little hot sauce made it better, so no complaints. The roux tasted good and had nice flavor. Overall, it was a good experience. We left with a full stomach and a smile on our face. We will definitely be back to Hank's for our crawfish fix next time we have a seafood craving!"

"Saturday Jan 6 2024 2:30 pm Came in at 2 with my wife Place had a lot of empty seats Waited 25 minutes for red beans and rice Got up made a Togo order because service was taking so long that took another 30 minutes All in all 1 he took good home and was watered down Spoke to guy think manager behind the counter bar and he said everything is running smoothly Horrible service guy at bar major attitude problem Told him he needs to hire more people and get order out in a timely manner he believes in his world things are just fine is what he said Never going back to this place anymore I’ll take my business and catering with the one on FRY RD which is same but different owners / management David"

"Went in for the first time for dinner. Pulling in was tricky and would have missed it if I was driving any faster. The atmosphere was so so, nothing special about it. The service needs attention for sure. Me and another group was waiting for a while before someone came to seat us and it wasn’t busy at all. My server was ok, he was hard to understand at times but it wasn’t a big deal. The drinks are very good, I recommend the hurricane, the purple rain is a bit strong, it was 151 in it. I got crab legs, mild, which had enough heat for me and they were pretty good. And the trio rice was good as well. The side serving size is a meal itself."
