"Wife took me for breakfast recently. The diner was full of locals and we just had a short wait for a table. I loved the atmosphere of the place and the vibe. Took me back to simplier times....No one seemed to be in a hurry and people were enjoying there meal and the company at their table. Got a table shortly thereafter and ordered our breakfast. Friendly staff. I ordered the Migas and coffee. Our meals arrived quickley and hot. The waitress kept my coffee cup filled, in which I appreciate. We took our time to eat and enjoyed the old school environment. Looking forward to returning again in the short future for breakfast or will have lunch. Highly reccommend!"

"The food was very good and our server was friendly. There clearly is a big following based on how many people filed in while we were there. There are definitely good price values to be found, with a tremendous amount of food for the chicken fried steak omelette for only $12.95."

"My experience today at Avalon was just okay. I did meet some nice folk in there which made my day. The customer service was very very good. I take nothing from that. I'm sorry however, the food it self was not. The dessert was not good I tried twice. Stay away from it like you would a pile of bees. First I got a coconut pie. Then I got the chocolate cake. Definitely not good not good!!! Please do yourself a favor avoid it at all cost. The coffee was not good either. EWW!!! The BLT was not good maybe it was the rye bread but it was sorta dry to. That was a bummer cause I had been craving it for a while. The only things that was really good was the hot cocoa when I changed from the coffee to it and the curly fries. Man!!! They were good. Hot Crispy and fresh they were. Maybe I should have gotten breakfast. I was torn between the BLT and an omelette. I went with the BLT which was a (Bad idea). Again the staff was nice but a lot of them also kept wiping their noses with their bare hands using no sanitizer from what I could see. Like 50 percent of them did that. EWW!!! They need sanitizing stations everywhere if they're gonna keep that up."
