"Have to have whenever I return to Houston. Houston is home and crave the food now that I don’t live here. Nothing better than Houston dining scene, especially Treebeard’s. Usually go to church downtown, but last couple of years, Katy freeway has been the meeting place. Yummy yummy yummy! Nice to go on a warm sunny day and sit outside at this location. Red beans & rice are a must, doesn’t get any better!"

"I came here with my wife, our daughter-in-law and grandbaby. This is the only location that isn't downtown. The decor is pretty spiffy. This place is a southern Louisiana version of Luby's. The girls didn't care for the day's special which was meatloaf with a tomato based sauce, they thought it was too chewy and lacked fllavor. The sides were good to great. Black eyed peas, butternut squash, squash casserole were all 5 stars, the french fries were 3 stars. I gave 5 stars to my chicken and sausage gumbo, great roue, flavorful tender hunks of chicken and sausage, found the bottom of the bowl and I was looking for more. I really didn't need a piece of carrot cake but I enjoyed it, 4 stars, it was a smidge too dry for 5 stars. They brought some tasty bread and butter when we first sat down. Counter service when you order, then they give you a number on a little stand and then they bring your food to your table."

"This place is great. Food is amazing and service is super fast. All the staff are super friendly and make sure to take care of you. The Food is southern cooking and the service is southern hospitality. Large restaurant to fit many people. They have a great selection to choose form which makes it hard to decide. You'll just have to go back again and believe me you will want too. There is also a great quiet outside patio as well. They will also host your holidays and events. See thier catering menu for all your large group needs."

"I used to eat this in the downtown tunnels because it was quick & easy, but the food has never been that great. They do the blandest version of Cajun/creole known to man. Even asking them to spice up a dish spices the knee-jerk “use Tabasco” line. If you’re into low season, low flavor Cajun/Creole … then you’d probably give this place a 5 star rating because they got that on lock and patent."
