"Love this place when visiting Houston. You just can't find Cajun/creole food like this in California, so this restaurant is always at the top of my list when I visit. This place is in my top 6 or 7 favorite restaurants in America. Orleans never disappoints. This relatively new place is nicely decorated, and it has tastefully designed nice clean bathrooms, which makes a good impression on me. I used to go to the old location by I-10, but this newer place is less of a mob scene. The bisque (crawfish) is outstanding. Very hearty, lots of flavor. Love the red beans....as good as they get anywhere. Oysters below average this time (usually amazing), a bit dry, small & overcooked. But I can look past this and look at all the other excellent 5star food on the table (and got to sample); maybe it was hard to obtain big juicy oysters this week....could be a seasonal thing. Portions always huge. Gator was as good as ever. Pork chops smothered with crawfish ettoufe looked and tasted amazing. This is NOT a place to go to if you are on a diet. It IS a place to take your guests from out of town to...they will be impressed and will find the food very different and special from what they are used to if they aren't from the South. This is some of the best food you are gonna find in Houston, and at reasonable prices. Kids meals are a deal."

"We stumbled upon this place, it was awesome! We came on Thursday, their is a $19.99 special for 24 fried shrimp and fries. It was great for two people. It was very clean, fast service, fast timing on our food and every thing was fresh and tasty. We will definitely come back! The St Charles shrimp pasta was awesome! Good size servings as well."

"We went there last night for the first time , 9-10 of us. Everybody absolutely loved the food. I had Shrimp Brochette . Absolutely amazing! Served on a dish of dirty rice which was very tasty. For dessert, you have to try the Creole Cream Cheese Cake!!! Prices were mid-range. Good atmosphere. Order at the counter was different.Staff was awesome. I may have a new favorite!"
