PB&J with Tay 5335 McCullough Avenue, Olmos Park, TX 78212

"Stopped by on a Saturday for a to-go order to have lunch at a nearby park. There's a small grass parking lot on one side and a larger shared parking lot on the other side. Restaurant is located upstairs on the 2nd floor. Was immediately greeted as they did with everyone who walked through the door. They explain the menu above the counter with their signature sandwiches or made your own way from the list of ingredients. Ordered the Pooh Bear signature sandwich and a custom sandwich with peanut butter, peach jalapeno jello, cream cheese, and walnuts. Also grabbed a banana pudding from the mini fridge. Both sandwiches were ready in a few minutes. Each was placed in a brown bag to go. Both sandwiches were very thick and generously full of peanut butter and the other ingredients. As simple as it sounds, the peanut butter and jelly was very good with the other ingredients. I'll definitely come back to try more sandwiches and my own custom one as well."

"Really big sandwiches on Texas toast, lightly fried with tons of good ingredients. The kitchen sink is a double decker and overflowing with all the yummy stuff. They don't stint on the ingredients either. No sodas but with pb and j milk is always best! 2nd floor with outside stairs. Small price for good food. Found it on a whim today. So happy I did!"

"Passed that place many times and finally stopped by and tried their sandwiches! They were surprisingly delicious and fun for them making those for us instead of making at home! Staff were so friendly and courteous. Enjoyed the amazing environment. Two cons are no elevator and the price.. the place is upstairs. A plate of sandwich and chips was about $11. It was pretty pricey."

"If you enjoy supporting a local business with super friendly folks and great food this is the place for you! Owner could not have been friendlier and the place is just fun. There are a dozen different sandwiches to choose from and endless ways to customize on top of that. Don't snooze on the banana pudding either!"
