"Wow! What a fun place! A friend and I met for breakfast at 8 and by the time we left it felt like most of Bastrop was there and rightfully so. We had Migas, grits, eggs, home style potatoes, biscuits, basically the works to try out a breakfast place. It did NOT disappoint. Everything tasted amazing. The thoughtfulness in the dishes lets you know somebody who knows food is making your plate. The cool detailed aesthetic all the way down to Ball jars for cold drinks and Memaw’s shelf full of coffee mugs make this feel like you’re joining someone for breakfast at their grandma’s house. Definitely worth a stop. Super friendly folks and great food."

"We visited from Florida and we found this little place in town. We decided to give it a try and I was absolutely blown away by the friendly people and the delicious food. Breakfast was AMAZING! So many choices. The staff was a real pleasure and welcoming. We sat next to two wonderful local ladies and we talked for over an hour about Bastrop. On our last day in town we had a 13hour drive back to Florida but I couldn't leave without stopping by for breakfast to charge my soul. I'll be back for sure. I give Maxines 5 stars because I can't give it 10."

"WOW! Let me tell you this place is a home run, great spot to grab a meal, date night, adult beverage, all of the above. The food is excellent, as crazy as this sounds the side salad was amazingly fresh, I’m sure the dressings are made from scratch. Everyone was pleased with their meals, Ashleigh was our server, and a pleasure to interact with, definitely an asset to the establishment. A lot of the menu items come in half portions, they are massive, definitely enough for one plus some. I ate the catfish, hush puppies, and krispy fries ( I know that’s how thy spell crispy, pay attention now) the fish was tasty the fries as promised were krispy! Others ate the chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken both were great! Again if you’re looking for the cool spot I’m telling you this is it, you can thank me later! Oh yea plenty of parking behind."

"First time here, Pretty busy weekend spot. About 20 min wait for 3 ppl, not too bad. Once ordered, took about 30 min to let us know the meatloaf was not available anymore so was kind of annoyed it took that long. Then another 20 min to get food. Food was good. Fried green beans my fave part."
