"The server I had was not the best, I mean she was in training but still you could definitely tell she was in training. But karma was the greatest I can't wait to go back just for her. She was so friendly and very entertaining. Karma is what saved the whole experience and visit to this location."

"My family and I visited IHOP on December 27th in the morning after a day of exploring San Antonio's attractions such as the River Walk and the Alamo. Excited for a pleasant breakfast, we arrived and requested a table for four from the host. However, as she escorted us to our table, another lady that was not there abruptly appeared and mentioned, 'We only speak English here,' assuming our language preference without inquiry, despite us already conversing in English with the host. It was my first encounter with discrimination in a restaurant. Despite feeling uncomfortable, my wife encouraged me multiple times to leave if I wished, but we chose to stay because we refused to let someone ruin our trip. Interestingly, the same lady who made the discriminatory comment (an African American) served us. The service commenced well and it was good, even I engaged in a brief conversation with her. However, things took a turn when an extra, unordered meal appeared on our receipt. Upon politely addressing this, the server claimed to have rectified it, providing us with a new receipt that she carried even before we asked her; she knew the mistake. Yet, upon reviewing the revised receipt, the additional charge persisted, albeit in a different placement. This incident left me uncertain about what to believe. Given the diverse visitors this place welcomes, I firmly believe it's imperative for the manager to ensure their staff treat all customers with respect and fairness."

"Never thought I would have this level of service and friendly smiles at 2 in the morning. I love IHOP, but this visit provided a glimpse of bygone eras of wait staff who make it their whole world to provide great ambiance and quality service. Honestly, blown away. The host was present and efficient and even brought us drinks while our server arrived, full of smiles and help. Y’all not kidding this was epic. Food was so good, simple eggs and bacon and pancakes but the energy and old-school welcome made my week."
