Reviews of Clementine
"Went there for our early valentine and anniversary. We tried a 6-course dinner for the first time. Amazing and unique experience. Those dishes were oh-my-goodness. We quite enjoyed and consumed each dish. They were perfect size. The reviews mentioned that hush puppies dish was a must. I was excited to try it. It turned good but was not equaled as a dish you could find in a seafood restaurant nearby water places like beaches. We hoped for a dish of steak, but we got a Mackerel instead. It was delicious any way! Staff were amazing, patient, friendly, respect, and polite. They were willing to accommodate our needs. We really appreciated it a lot. Enjoyable experience. A reservation in advance is highly recommended. Outside and inside are beautiful. Here are pictures! One is missing which is mignardise-cardamom thumbprints."
"We’ve been here three times and each time it gets better and more impressive. The service is on point and all of the food is amazing! Very few places in San Antonio where you can get gourmet food like this at reasonable prices. Don’t forget the desserts, they are out of this world. Highly recommended."
"We walked in at 5pm on a Saturday without reservations and were quickly seated on the patio, which was a bit noisy with street noise but quite comfortable. The food + service were incredible (I’ve dined at 1-3 Michelin starred places), and they’re definitely deserving of their James Beard nominations and would likely sit at 1M star. We ordered the beet salad, flame tart (more like crack tostada!), broccoli pesto cavatelli, miso bass (yummy complex flavors) and the fried polenta with trout roe (definitely add it). I could not pass up the passionfruit crème brûlée and it was phenomenal; the chef also tossed in a complimentary cheesecake. Every single dish was better than expected and the service was attentive and relaxed, couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant!"
"My girlfriend and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time. The reviews looked promising but our dinning experience was not that great. I had the scallops, and they were a bit bland. Plus the dish had three jumbo scallops and it was $44. If the taste had blown my socks off I could justify the cost but they failed to do so. I think the presentation was nice but they were boring tasting. I did enjoy the beets that I ordered before the scallops. My girlfriend's meal wasn't that great either. As we drove off we both agreed it was not worth a second shot. I will say the staff was very nice and attentive. No complaints there. I think the SA food scene isn't the best. We'll keep looking for the needle in the haystack."
"Had the chance to stop by this amazing restaurant. The staff and the management were absolutely top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I had some truly good food, in the right portions, and timed perfectly. I also ate outside, on a beautiful evening of October. My only complaint, and I'm truly being picky, is the music on the patio could have been better. But that's not necessarily a problem, as music tastes vary incredibly. Also - they are super flexible with accommodation of dietary restrictions (vegetarian here). They modified each plate to suit my restriction. Last - for what it's worth, one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. All in all i strongly recommend Clementine."
