Reviews of The Divide
"This is the place to be if you’re in the north San Antonio area! There are so many great things at The Divide! To name a few, there is great food, great drinks, great service, great times, and a great atmosphere. Go see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!"
"I’m pretty sure you all knew this was coming. This is a beautiful place, but you all were completely wasted last night (the female owner and her boyfriend bartender). The restrooms were absolutely disgusting (pics below). I am completely disappointed in how we were treated at the bar and the subpar customer service. We ordered two shots of house tequila (el jimador)they were chilled w/ salt and lime (as they should be), then ordered four more for the birthday girl. In all my almost 40 years I’ve never had someone add extra liquids to our SHOTS without telling us! That’s like people ordering a shot of Jameson and you “adding” coke or other liquids to it. I simply asked WHY ARE THEY YELLOW the tipsy owner said “oh I just added a little agave and lime juice them”. This was after SHE CONFIRMED “4 of the same house tequilas?” After I told them I didn’t not request shots of margaritas they were completely offended and rude to us the rest of the night. Caught them gossiping about us and our ethnic/ multicultural group. I ordered another shot to see them make it myself I was given a tequila no salt no lime but tajin floating in it. This was them holding a grudge I suppose. I didn’t make a scene and was kind to them the entire time. The snarky remarks and stare downs after I told them about their poor attempt to stretch the tequila was very unprofessional. This place is far from everything and seemingly not for people of my skin tone so it all makes sense. I wasn’t the only one that was shocked at them being completely drunk at 8pm, several people noticed it. I was kind to them and went to close our tab so we could go to a better ALL INCLUSIVE bar, they added extra shots to my tab instead of righting their wrongs like any reputable place would do. I wouldn’t trust them with a debit card and hope they get it together. Maybe this place is better when the other owner is there, idk and will never find out because of this horrible experience. BEAUTIFUL Place but at least ATTEMPT to clean or at least BE KIND to your customer, it’s FREE! Never again. Edit: your snarky remarks to all of us telling the TRUTH AND others previous experiences proves my point! Bathroom was absolutely disgusting, the fact that this is ok to you PROVES MY POINT. They need to do better and reevaluate their “business”. No we won’t be back, so I’m out of your hair. This was posted on every social media platform to protect POC. Stay far away POC. Do not go here! VETERANS stay away!"
"Liza is amazing! She helped more than she needed to and made sure the party we threw for our friend was successful! From answering late texts to confirming every details she did everything she could to make sure we had a great experience. Everyone enjoyed themselves and were very impressed with the location! Loved it and will continue to keep recommending this venue/bar!"
"We celebrated my friend’s birthday party here and had the best time. Owner and staff were so helpful. Their specially drinks are amazing and we just felt so welcomed. I can definitely have an other party here for sure! Food truck was great. I love the place."
"Definitely one of my new favorite spots! Great outdoor venue, perfect for any kind of celebration and or party. Huge selection of beer and great food trucks. We enjoyed the live music as well. Pet and kid friendly!"
