"I bought a A/C compressor kit from them. This kit contained everything I needed, minus the freon obviously. I installed this kit with no problems. It worked great. The customer was very satisfied. Highly recommended. A+"
"I’m not the kind of guy to go out of his way to leave negative reviews but I keep getting emails asking for my experience. Which is mixed. I found the prices good, and the delivery was pretty quick. I got the A/C compressor, evaporator, orifice tube etc kit, and a new radiator. The radiator went in perfectly and was without issue. I went to a local shop and had the A/C evacuated to install the new A/C parts. I installed all the parts and went back to get recharged. Once recharged the system wouldn’t blow very cold. They checked my work and said everything looked installed correctly. After working on it a while they diagnosed the problem as a “weak” compressor. Which is what I just installed. I drove it that evening and it blew cold for 20 minutes and then stopped, blowing warm. The next morning I was going to take it in but it worked until that afternoon. I lived with it for a while because I needed my car and couldn’t afford any more parts at the time. After a few months, my wife tried to surprise me with getting the A/C repair. She took it to a second recommended shop who stated they couldn’t figure out why it works sometimes and not others. Ultimately, and without having mentioned the first shop’s comments, they stated it appeared the compressor is just “weak” and needs replaced. Unfortunately, I felt I waited too long to even complain about the compressor and have been living with it. Now the clutch assembly makes noise and when it kicks on, I can feel the hesitation from its resistance to turn. So, to summarize, most of the stuff I ordered works fine and was delivered quickly, but I believe the compressor was bad from the start. I wish I had returned it."
"Bought an AC Condensor and it arrived mangled (see pictures) they ask that you call before returning so I did. I was told (on Monday) that my return should arrive on Tuesday since I live less than an hour away (they don't do in person returns), be processed in less than 1 day, and be back at my door Thursday at the latest. I dropped the item off at UPS that day and waited... and waited... and waited. Finally Friday afternoon I called and was told they got my item Thursday and hadn't finished reviewing it yet. Tuesday I opened a chat session on their website and was told "I'm not in returns so I don't know what's going on" after calling the company again. I was told that my return had just finished and should be shipped out that day. After a few hours I called again and found my order would be shipping out at 8pm that night. At that point I asked for a refund and told I would get it immediately. **Edit** Found our I never got my refund and between moving and jobs I never followed up and it’s too late to get it now, trust ANYONE else over this company!!"
"At this point I have ordered a few items/parts for both my husband's and my own vehicle and feel I can give a decent review. The Good: All ordered parts came in an extremely timely manner and Pit Stop Auto does an awesome job of keeping you informed about your package. The prices are also extremely reasonable. If, for some reason, you have to return a part, their return process is pretty painless. All you need to do is go online, state your intent to return an item, choose the order and part you will be returning, and submit your intent. Then all you need to do is grab the shipping label that is already provided either in or on the outside of your package, seal the box back up with the part and slap that puppy on there. Within five days (including shipping and processing) I received my refund. The Bad: All I can say about this is that parts tend to be packaged fairly poorly. One of my parts, a blower motor, must have knocked around inside the cardboard enough that it bust through its original packaging. Though, for me, this was not a big deal since the part was metal and just did more damage to the packaging than to itself. But I could see how this could cause issues with other orders. And the Ugly: None. At least in my experience. All in all, I have had a good experience with ordering parts through Pit Stop Auto and intend to continue to do so in the future."
"I ordered a new AC compressor for an older Saturn. The price was excellent, and the shipping very fast. When the compressor arrived, I took it to my mechanic, who determined it was not the correct replacement. I contacted Pit Stop, who had thoughtfully included a return shipping label in the package with the compressor, and was very pleasantly surprised by the rapid answering and the ease of dealing with the lady who answered. I shipped the unit back, and followed the instructions provided. The refund went quickly and almost effortlessly. Overall, I am very impressed with Pit Stop auto. I am not at all upset that the compressor did not fit. I will be using them again in the future. Thank You Jerry in Delaware"
