"Don’t order the pork rib it has a really strong pig flavor that is not processed well. Brisket quality is Texas average. I recommend the chicken as it’s very tender, juice, and comes in good portion."
"Pretty good place for BBQ. This has been on our list of BBQ places to try, and it was just as good as others have said in past reviews. The brisket was nice and tender and had a good smoke ring around it. It was my favorite protein. The Texas twinkie was just as good. The birria taco was decent. The loaded baked potato was good, but the star of the show was the hatch chile Mac and cheese. It was so flavorful, and I'm happy I purchased a medium cup of it. Although some have complained about the temp of the food (and I can understand why), the time we came in, ordered, and received our meal was about 20 minutes. The atmosphere was nice and quaint with a great outdoor area. We were lucky enough to snatch a table inside. During this time of year (February), eating outdoors would be a great experience, but I'm sure in the summer, it would not be as summer in Texas can be excruciatingly hot. One thing I noticed was no BBQ sauce. The workers were too busy, so I did not ask. I'm not sure if that is a Hurtado thing, or we just didn't see any. We don't normally use BBQ sauces on our meats, but every once in a while, I like to try them out of curiosity. Would I come back? Definitely."
"We ordered the Trinity with ribs, sausage and brisket plus Mac and cheese and Mexican corn. Everything was delicious. The brisket was so tender that I didn’t need a knife. The sausage and ribs were good too. The Mac and cheese tasted like Mac and cheese, cheese dip style. We loved it. The cream of corn was flavorful and incredible. My husband got the Texas Twinkie and loved it. We will be back."
"Came around 6pm in the evening, the wait wasn’t too long. We ordered the Texas Trinity, the ribs were tender, smoky, and juicy, full of finger licking goodness. The brisket was sadly dryer than beef jerky and soaking it in sauce didn’t even help. The sausage was a miss for me, did not even finish it. Got the hatch Mac and cheese as a side, it was full of flavor, hatch chile essence, not spicy, and very velvety and creamy. I appreciated their Texas Trinity included a side, and it was reasonably priced at $28 and change. If I were to return, I would only get their ribs."
"So, I saw the wonderful pictures online and even the plates while ordering, but I was a little disappointed once we dug in. I was craving BBQ and was counting on them to be the FIX. Starters- the line is out the door due to how you order, so be prepared for a wait. The atmosphere is clean inside, and they have a nice outside sitting area. The service is not bad; however, the ordering process could shorten the lines. The FOOD- I gave 3 stars because our food was COLD, not lukewarm, COLD. I don't know about everyone else, but I like warm to hot BBQ and sides. The beef ribs were tender, juicy, and had a nice flavor. The burnt ends were also good and tender. The brisket was tender, and the sausage probably tasted better hot, as it had cheese and jalapeños inside. The pulled pork lacked flavor and was dry to me. We had the loaded potatoes, mac and cheese, and the cabbage. The mac and cheese and loaded potatoes were pretty good, but it would have been great HOT. The cabbage was the most unseasoned dish we ordered. The tacos and corn looked so good, but all I could think was it was cold as well. If we ever go back, I'll be sure to order to go so we can warm our food up before eating it."
