"I can see the attraction, it’s new and different. Unfortunately the food just wasn’t that good. We had the Italian beef and a salad with chicken. The beef lacked any noticeable flavors and was bland and the salad was literally 98% lettuce. It was difficult to find any cheese or chicken. Fries were pretty good. We may go back and try a hot dog or a dessert, both looked good. As for service and atmosphere, lots of yelling and lack of order behind the counter. We had at least 5 customers that paid after us get their food first. And our order was very simple, nothing crazy."
"This place is loud and fairly busy. The person taking our order could not hear well and started making our order without us saying what we wanted. The food was tasty. Hotdogs were our favorite, but order the jumbo, the regular ones are small sized. The beef was good but for some reason the peppers were on the side."
"Me and my family watched Portillo’s get built from the ground up. When we went there were a couple of cars in front of us but it moved very quickly. The guy that took our order was pretty nice. We went through the drive-through. They have a great system going on. No we did not get their famous hot dogs me and my brother think of ourselves as burger critics. Their prices are very fair and reasonable. Their burger was basically a glamorized semi better tasting Burger King burger getting a 6.5 from me it was pretty good. Their fries tasted like Braums fries so they are just a regular 5 for me. To be fair they did come with a cheese sauce but it wasn’t the best but I didn’t hate it if that makes sense. We got their famous chocolate cake which was honestly just a less dry Ding Dong to me so I wasn’t too hyped it lacked the chocolate flavor to me. The cake gets a smooth 5 but it is pretty big. So my overall experience 4.5 out of 5 good job Portillo’s highly recommend you check them out!"
"It was packed! To help the long line move along, they sent in someone to take orders in the line. Then, I paid at the register, walked down a "hall" and saw the kitchen staff busting butt to cook for the packed joint. Across from where the food was picked up was the drink station, and the opposite of that was a dessert counter. The booths are roomy and comfortable. I liked the restaurant decor, gave it a lively feel. The food was good. I had the rodeo burger, crinkle fries with cheese (dip fries in cheese cup). Yummy. I'll be back to make my way through that menu."
"I recently visited Portillo's hot dogs place in Arlington, Texas and had a great experience overall. The food was absolutely delicious, living up to its reputation. The hot dogs were perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The toppings and condiments were top-notch, and the French fries were crispy and satisfying. The service at Portillo's was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Our order was taken promptly, and our food arrived quickly. They were also helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. However, I must mention that the atmosphere at Portillo's in Arlington was a bit different from the original Chicago-style vibes that it is known for. While the interior was still decorated with vintage photos and had a nostalgic touch to it, there was a slight variation in the overall ambiance. But this slight drawback did not affect the overall dining experience. In conclusion, I highly recommend Portillo's in Arlington, Texas for its delicious food, great service, and a charming ambiance, even though it may have a slightly different vibe compared to its original Chicago location."
