Reviews of Café at The Aquarium
"Do yourself a favor and don't eat here if you can."
"Maybe, I expect more from a cafe located in a hospital with 1000s of immune-compromised patients and families. I visited this café for the 3rd time this morning around 0530. As I walked up, the sole worker was sweeping near the condiment bar. I double checked and asked if they were open, since it is a Sunday and I know hours can change. To that she responded, "yes, I'm JUST doing something else right now." To that, I responded, "okay, I'll just try to decide what I want." I get it. I was a barista for 3 years. It's difficult to get things done when you're working alone and customers keep coming. That's part of the job. About a minute later, she walks behind the counter and takes my order. After I paid, she begins to make my drink. I asked if she would please wash her hands since she was just sweeping. She didn't hear me at first, because I didn't say it loud. At this point, there was another customer in line. So, I repeated my question. To that, she turns around, turns on the water for about 2-3 seconds (not sure if she even actually washed her hands) and grabs a paper towel "dries" her hands, and returns to finish my drink. I expect more from Cafe in the Park. You should always wash your hands BEFORE you handle food or begin any food-related task (National Restaurant Association, 2019). Especially, when changing tasks from cleaning to food preparation. I can't say I will NEVER come again, because the lack of palatable coffee in MD is slim, just do better."
"Amazing service by Amy. She is a high energy, sincere caring server. She definitely adds to the value of your visit here. Nice area for casual dining. Excellent smoothies and treats. Starbucks coffee, prepackaged sandwiches,"
"The menu is limited and the cashier Audrey is very unpleasant unfriendly. She was nice and chummy with employees but patients and family’s very short and curt . I will not come back even if it is last place inside the hospital."
