Reviews of The Toasted Yolk Cafe
"The Toasted Yolk Cafe left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming ambiance that set the tone for a delightful meal. I opted for the Brisket Scramble, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The combination of tender brisket and fluffy scrambled eggs was a match made in breakfast heaven. The jalapeños added just the right amount of heat, elevating the dish to another level of flavor. But the star of the show, in my opinion, was the hashbrown casserole. It was simply superb. Creamy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and packed with savory goodness. And taking the recommendation to add onions and jalapeños was a stroke of genius—it brought an extra layer of depth and complexity to an already outstanding dish. Overall, my experience at The Toasted Yolk Cafe was nothing short of fantastic. The friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and, most importantly, the delicious food, have made me a loyal fan. Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast or a satisfying brunch, The Toasted Yolk Cafe is a must-visit destination. Highly recommended! --- I hope you like it!"
"We did not want to go to ihop or dennys... again... 3 meals and we spent $70 with a $12 tip. I recently had the pleasure of trying out a recommended breakfast spot that I would rate as a comfortable 4 out of 5 stars. It was a comfortable breakfast experience and a memorable one. From the inviting ambiance to the delicious food and friendly service, it had all the ingredients necessary for a satisfying start to the day."
"Very very delicious food!! You have to try the Strawberry Wild Field Salad! So so yummy and full of favors! The latte was amazing and so was the coffee and chicken salad sandwich and yolk burger and chicken and wild rice soup per my hubby and I believe it as I tired it myself and wanted a second bite ha ha! Must go check it out! Briana was amazing in serving us and explaining what I would ask her! Ask for her!"
"As soon as we walked in, we were greeted at the door. They had just opened and only one other customer in the restaurant. We were immediately sat and given menus, silverware and starws. Mathew was our server and he is absolutely amazing. Attentive and friendly, made great suggestions and answered questions. A wonderful and conversationalist. We were immediately offered delicious coffee and hazelnut creamers (my husband's favorite) and I asked for chocolate milk. We looked at the menu. So many delicious choices, we needed a few extra minutes to decide. The food we chose was all unique and different from any breakfast places I've ever been to. I order the Alaskan eggs Benedict, my husband asked for chicken and waffles. My mother in law ordered the toasted yolk and my father in law ordered the brisket scrambled. By far the best breakfast I've had in Houston. Ever. The head cook came out to ask how the food was and we we're able to compliment his amazing skills. I can't remember his name but he did say he was from Detroit. The whole staff was friendly and courteous to us. One of the best breakfast experiences we've ever had. It was our first time coming and it surely won't be our last."
"Nice little spot. I've been meaning to try this place for a long time now. Not bad at all. Good food. Not horrible service, but it can be a little better. Not crazy about the location, we went on a Sunday morning, and they start to get busy by 10 or 11 am. It's probably a wait time. I'll go back to try it again. Pancakes were HUGE, but not the best for me. Too sweet for me."
