"Loved the breakfast at the Farmhouse. They had the coffee pouring, locals were greeting each other and kitchen was slinging breakfast! Desserts in the fridge case. Loved the French toast and breakfast sandwich."
"Got the Swiss Mushroom Burger... Delish! First time here and I'll definitely be back to try other stuff. Staff are great, decor is lovely and food was amazing. Can't wait to try more! *Update: I already went back, and tried some other stuff. Got the appetizer sampler platter with fried cheese curds (first time having them, and they're so good!), jalapeno cream cheese corn nuggets and fried green beans... All awesome. Hubby's first time there, and he had the chicken fried steak dinner. So good! I got the mushroom Swiss burger again, because it was so good the first time, I had to have another even tho it's been less than a week since I had the first. Also, got some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and the strawberry cream cheese with cookie crust for dessert to go. I have nothing but good things to say about this place!"
"Spouse and i enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Farmhouse. Our omelettes were tasty and filling, even without the hashbrowns, grits, or other accompaniments. Service was friendly & prompt. The cafe is in a line of businesses along the main street, with diagonal parking in front. There are a few outdoor tables under a roof."
"We were passing thru Bay City and accidentally ran across this place. It was about 9:30 and we were looking for breakfast. The place was empty and we were seated right away and well tended to by our server who we thoroughly enjoyed talking to. There are many great things on the breakfast menu to choose from, but I chose the hash brown supreme. It was a large serving of hash browns with ham, and sausage and bell peppers and two eggs served on top. It was a very large portion and I was unable to finish it, which is rare. My wife got a plate with two eggs, two pieces of bacon, hashbrowns and she got a side of grits. The only thing I tried off of her plate were the grits, and they were cooked perfectly. When we got ready to leave, we got a piece of lemon meringue pie and a pecan pie to take home. We ate the pies later in the day, and they were amazing. I would go out of my way to swing by just to buy some pie the next time I’m passing through town. There is lots of seating and there is an extra room with even more seating. I spoke to the server about lunch and she said they get very busy and they even have a salad bar. I would imagine that around lunch time you may have a little difficult time finding parking. The lunch menu looks really good and the next time we’re headed back to Houston and pass by in the middle of the day we will stop and try lunch with them. We really enjoyed this stop and look forward to coming back many times."
"I left Houston on the way to Corpus Christi without eating. It's a bad idea , by Bay City, I was starved . I did not want donuts or fast food. I found this place by accident , there were no other customers and I received great service. I ordered a country breakfast , it had 2 eggs, any style , hash browns , bacon, a bisquit and I ordered grits, which were perfect , not too thick and not thin. The bacon was good bacon it was just a touch overcooked. The hash browns were perfect. My eggs were not so perfect. The white was perfect , but the yellow was overcooked. I did look at the lunch menu, and it looked good , so next trip , lunch. It was a little pricey, but I did order a side of grits and took Pie home. They do add 4% for card service charge ( and did not mention it)"
