"The food was wonderful, the margaritas were tasty, but the service by Evan was outstanding. He had excellent recommendations, was very knowledgeable about the food (specially the Trout Dip - 10/10 recommend!!) and was so friendly. If we could take Evan on the road with us this whole trip through Fort Worth to be our server we would. I can’t wait to come back soon!"
"What a wonderful experience for dinning here at this establishment. Located in the heart of the stock yards. Beef ribs 20 stars! Cocktails were amazing."
"Very Loud and under impressive food. The restaurant is located inside a repurposed stockyards building. Think of dining inside a concrete box. LOUD. There is no attempt at sound attenuation so even with a half emptily room it is nearly impossible to converse with someone right next to you. We had the wedge salad split, this was the only highlight of the dinner. My wife had the smoked chicken. This was comical unrecognizable bits of what must have been a Cornish hen. It was advertised as a half chicken but the best I could tell was that it was two breasts so they do cut their chickens in half sort of weird here. The texture was mushy and dry. I should have read the reviews here first about this dish. My chicken fried steak was OK but nothing to write home about. The next day I got a nicer tasting plate at Montgomery Street Cafe for $9.50."
"Insanely expensive for a mediocre experience. I ordered a margarita for $12 and it tasted awful! The lime juice they used tasted like limes after they turn brown, bitter and soured. I took 2 sips and asked the waiter if I could get something else. I was charged for the drink I didn't drink, AND the replacement drink I got. Which was still mediocre at best. I ordered the redfish and braised greens with sweet potato. I wasn't expecting it to be like a soup on my plate. The redfish was fishy like it wasn't cleaned properly. Definitely NOT worth $32! Needless to say my experience here was less than expected. I would not dine here again or recommend it."
"This place was really wonderful. There was a 30 min wait but the hostess said we could sit in the bar and it was a small table but the server/bartender was so amazing she promised it would work and it did. We had a great dinner for three. I had the redfish which was good but the real show stopper was the huge beef rib for two but it really could feed four. You'll have to see the picture because you just can't describe how huge and amazing this dish was. It was smokey and tender and reminded me of slow cooked BBQ beef but without the sauce. So amazing. I will forever remember my first time at the Stockyards. The service was so perfect and she was so nice and pleasant every time she checked on us and anticipated our needs before we could ask. You must try this place if you're looking for some fine Texas surf or turf."
