"I visited Austin for a few days and ended up eating here twice! The pizza is great (it’s often tough to find gluten free options) and the staff are even better! I was dining alone and Maurice, Maddison, Cass, Matayah all made me feel a part of the 313 family. They all deserve a raise!!! I don’t usually write reviews but had to praise the staff!"
"I ordered online through Toast for takeout. It was simple and straightforward. I don’t live far, so I walked to grab it. I stood at the pick up desk for 10 mins before anyone really acknowledged me. The waitstaff walked by me a couple times. The pizza was great! Detroit pizza is more bread forward, but it was damn good! I got the omnivore and added chicken. I like the option of a small Detroit. It was perfect!"
"Really good pizza, the service was okay. Atmosphere is also kinda a mix of a sport bar + pizza joint. I will say their drinks, especially beers, are good and cheap. I ordered a Bourbon Old Fashioned, twas very well made."
"I’m usually a New York style pizza kinda girl. I used to love Chicago style pizza growing up; Uno was my favorite spot on the West Coast. I can’t say that I’ve ever personally had a Detroit style pizza so today was a first for me. Via 313 East in Austin is where we headed today. They are situated in old downtown Sixth street and have a nice outdoor area with lots of bench seating. Their parking is a lil cramped, but for a downtown spot to HAVE parking at all is a plus. Really nice staff too! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by whatever wait staff happens to be available at that moment. As you look around you get a kind of a warehouse vibe. Everybody’s really casual. There is a bar off to the side; not sure if there is more or larger party seating in the back? I didn’t really explore but I DID use the facilities which are very clean. And, they do also have additional waiting bench in the bar/bathroom vicinity. They have a wide variety of pies. And they have a limited number of appetizers and salads too. today we tried the goat cheese and artichoke dip as our app. It was served with kind of a French roll crouton which is very thinly sliced and toasted. Super good! The goat cheese is slightly salty and has a very country-milky taste but mild at the same time. I grew up eating goat cheese and am lactose intolerant but since this is cultured it’s very nice on the tummy as it’s a very mild cheese and goats milk is better for us than cow milk. There’s lots of marinara which I really like. It really melds with the goat cheese and is spiced beautifully. The addition of basil juliennes only add to the sauce’s delicious bite. The artichokes are fresh and very meaty; it all comes together w the crunch of the croutons, I honestly ate too much at that point!! But with the pizza still to come; we had to stay strong!!! The daughter tried their square pepperoni pizza, which upon arrival I thought I was going to hafta “politely speak with somebody about missing pepperoni“ When in fact the pepperoni was comfortably situated underneath all the melty cheese. L O L They put a nice double row of marinara sauce on top of their pies to make it look not like your conventional pepperoni pie. Very aesthetically pleasing. Again, the sauce is nicely spiced; very tomatoey, with a good amount of oregano and basil. Their mozzarella is very fresh and very mild but still super flavorful (I LOVE a good Mozzarella!!), they use the large pepperonis on the inside which is interesting. My pie was the Omnivore. It’s a supreme type pizza w veggies included and normally has pepperoni and sausage which I took off because I don’t like sausage on my pizza and added pepperoncinis. It was excellent! They use the small pepperonis on the outside of This pie which are allowed to crisp up - I love that!! You can’t get those large pepperonis crisp like that. The pepperoncinis were very salty sweet, imparting a great flavor to the veggies and cheese. I also loved the crispy crunchy baked cheese around the edges of the pie. Super delicious!! I don’t know if this is the signature of a Detroit style pizza but it was really worked; reminiscent of cheesy bread. Also Their crust is also super light and airy/bubbly which I really like! You get all of your textures workin. An excellent pie I gotta say!!! Via 313 pizza did an excellent job all around! I highly suggest you check them out next time you are in the area!!"
"This was a delicious pizza with delightful apps. My only complaint it the ricotta was a little thin for my taste. The crust was soft but had some chips spots it was perfect. Wish we lived in Austin I would to come more often."
