"this was my first time here. I ordered the beef shawarma plate and the beef shawarma tortilla. When I got home I opened my bag and took out the tortilla which is in the batch of photos I've uploaded. My first bite was not impressive and subsequent bites yielded the same feeling, tough meat! I don't like fat or sinew. The meat, of which there was a lot, was plentiful. It had no taste but the spices and onions put in when being built was the only flavor in the sandwich. 8 had to throw away half the meat as 8 couldn't chew it enough to swallow. Next time I'm trying the chicken which also looks good being slow roasted on the rotating spit. The black tea was great. I ordered a beef shawarma plate to go and that will be my dinner later, I will post the photos then but at least I know some of it will go in the trash. I just can't chew the meat as it didn't break down so he advised. I will tell the owner as I promised feedback. I read the owners response and I have 1 suggestion to more tender beef. Either tenderize the meat before it's put on the spit stake OR use papaya juice as the enzymes will breakdown osme connective tissue maybe enough so that it's chewable. I usually eat foul or fish or pork because late wife was a bigtime carnivore and not to many restaurants serve steak worthy of the price they want for it! So for about the past 30 years I've eaten veg along with the other meats and fish indicated. At home now by myself I eat fould and fish mostly as my meats, sometimes opting for peanut butter or other proteins. If you order the tabuoleh it's fresh prepared, I loved the huumus and the rice is great, fluffy and tasty. I'll be back for the chicken this week sometime. No need for the refund, I"m taking the leftover beef today and going to chop it up and use for bar-b-que sandwhiches tomorrow. You can't please everyone and it's just not me to eat chewy beef but you can't tell until you try it!"
"This place is an oasis in the sea of chain restaurants in Lake Worth. Everything was delicious and the portion of the shawarma bowl was massive. The guy who runs the place is super kind and you can tell because everybody who comes through the door wants to say hi to him. They sent over a cup of the lentil soup while my wife and I were waiting and it was delicious. His employees are great too and provide excellent service. It’s great to see businesses like this in the area and I hope he has great success - we’ll certainly be back!"
"They are reasons for so many 5 star reviews:) First of all the food was really good! We had beef shawarma and the portion was huge! While we are eating I saw they cleaned up other tables as soons as the customers left. After the meal I ordered the lazy cake for dessert, and the front lady was kind enough to also include a warbat on the house because I asked her about the fillings of it. Everyone is so friendly! We will definitely come back!"
