"I am a Texan in Katy Texas. Therefore I love Shipley Do-Nuts. Every flavor and type are delicious. However, their plain old raised glazed do-nut early in the morning, still warm, only cool enough that the glaze is not too sticky, is better than almost anything early in the morning. Further, I love Shipley Kolaches. I know they are not really kolaches. Yes, they are really pigs-in-a-blanket, But those smoked sausage piggies, yummy cheese and my favorite - fresh jalapenos are like dying and going to... Texas of course. The atmosphere is... well its a donut shop - In Texas. Excellent! Service is very good, except for early morning, especially on the weekends, there is no way you get in and out without waiting a little while to get to the front of the line, Not bad service, just great do-nuts. Shipley is why Krispy Kreme has tried twice and failed to succeed in the Houston market. I didn't hate Krispy Kreme, but I always feared going into a diabetic coma when I'd eat one, and I'm not diabetic. Too sweet!! Shipley's is the bomb! KD"

"Went to give Shipley another chance. I received a letter from management with coupons included. This location was quick but the donuts weren't that great. I got chocolate and cinnamon sugar both donuts were very dry. I microwaved them and they tasted a bit better but the chocolate didn't even taste like chocolate??? It was more like dyed vanilla icing with no chocolate taste at all."

"Nice place. The kolaches are on point. Donuts were nice and glazed. The cashier could use just a little bit more training. She didn't understand me when I asked her for a plain sausage kolache. She seemed somewhat confused. So, I, instead, just said it to her in Spanish. Maybe it was just a rough morning for her. Otherwise, the place is clean & pleasant. Recommended to visit."
