"I have lived in the area for a little while now and every time I have had a craving for barbecue I have gone to Local Craft BBQ on Azle which is outstanding, But when I don't want to make the drive all the way out there and want something closer, Sam's BBQ is absolutely the way to go. For such a tiny little building, there is actually a decent amount of seating inside with a full bar and a tiny little pool hall at the back! There is even a little stage for nights when they do karaoke, which happened to be on the night I came and that was a blast to watch. The pit masters and the bartender were so friendly and personable, and the food was outstanding to boot. I am ashamed to have taken so long to check this place out, but I will absolutely be back sooner rather than later."

"I had a pork rib plate. The portion of ribs was excellent. The two side items I chose were baked beans and Mac n cheese. Mac n cheese was average at best. There's not a lot of flavor going on. The baked beans however was not good at all. No flavor. The beans felt like they were over soaked. I'm not a food critic, so take my comments with a grain of salt."

"I really liked my plate of chicken, brisket and coleslaw. Each item had its own great flavor without an overwhelming smoke infusion. My friend didn't complain, but I was disappointed with her chicken selection. The amount she got was significantly smaller. Instead of cutting the whole chicken down the middle, it was cut from side to side. The cut did separate white from dark meat (which we did not specify) but the dark meat section was pretty small. Her opinion of the meal, however, was the same as mine. She enjoyed it. I will definitely go back!"
