El Pollo Loco

"Drove up the drive thru at 9:20pm.. I waited for about 3 minutes for someone to take my order and nothing. Silence. I thought perhaps they closed early so I moved up to drive out. To my surprise there was a car at the window waiting for their order. 3 minutes later he moved up a bit to continue waiting for his order.. I am unable to drive out due to the vehicle in front so I’m now at the window myself. I look inside and only see 2 employees working, none checking the drive thru window. After about 4-5 minutes of me just waiting there, a third employee finally approaches the window and asks if I needed something. I told him I didn’t place an order since I thought they were closed. I preferred not to order since service was obviously extremely slow! The parking lot was completely empty, one car in front of me and this was already taking a good 8-10 min. I told him I was just waiting for the vehicle to move out of the way to drive out. Waste of time. I drove down to Whataburger down the street, I had ordered curbside (while parked at pollo loco) and was in and out in 5 minutes."

"We ate here at 8:30pm on a Wednesday night. There was one other man eating there and no one else in the restaurant. We ordered two “bowls”. One Original Pollo Bowl and the Sweet Corn Chicken Pollo Bowl. They were both very good on their own. The original bowl came with 2 flour tortillas (combo) which were tiny packaged tortillas that were thrown into a microwave and came out hard as a rock! The service was bad. Seemed the employees were not in a good mood (except for the older gentleman with a mustache and glasses - he was a sweetheart). It was the end of the day and everyone was tired, I’m sure. But I was disappointed in their attitudes. I won’t eat in the restaurant again. I’d rather take my food home and eat more relaxed next time."

"One of my favorite places to eat, but any more. I placed an order today and I was disappointed. This isn't a chicken is a baby chick. Look at the size of this chicken. Serving bowls, same size as always, not. Turn it upside down and you will notice 1/2 inch lip underneath which in addition gets you and me less of what we order. It's getting ridiculous, less food yet higher prices."
