"Food was excellent. Wife got the meatloaf and was incredible and I am not a meatloaf fan. I got the lamb shank and substituted the risotto for the grits. Perfect combo. So tender and moist. My only complaint was wait staff being too lazy to change our the coffee syrup and trying to pass off half decaf. I was sitting closest table to coffee and watched them do it. If the food was not so good, I would not go back to give second chances."

"Greg was an excellent waiter. Our food was great. We had meatloaf and an 8 oz grilled sirloin. We also tried the chicken potstickers with cranberry jam. There is a bit of garlic in the jam."

"Loved the historical ambiance and staff but one star off due to the Chilean Sea Bass $30+ that was way too salty and Cod-like dry not bouncy that I’m not convinced it wasn’t cod. Beautiful plating and loved the risotto. The second star off was for the fruit flies and gnats I had to dine with. Husband had the meatloaf and said it was good."

"We stopped here for lunch on our way to Galveston. The food and service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the building. The restaurant was busy for lunch but they have plenty of seating. We had the shrimp and grits and the Reuben Sandwich. Both meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. Overall, we enjoyed our stop over for lunch."

"This restaurant is amazing! Not only is it absolutely adorable, but it’s incredibly affordable. My family of 7 + 1 (8 total) were able to eat (with tip) for right under $100. That’s pretty much unheard of for us. Most meals cost us closer to $200. This restaurant is located in the quaint little town of Rosenberg. Right in the heart of the downtown area. It’s so cute. There are tons of shopping options nearby. Street parking is available. You’ll want to get here early for seating. This place gets really busy on the weekends. This is a brunch spot— with brunch hours— so keep that in mind when planning to try them out. The food is amazing! We all ordered different stuff and everyone ate all their food.
