"Finally got to go get some brisket here. I've heard so many good things about this place, so I decided to go check it out myself, and it was very good. The brisket is tender and amazing. The only thing missing, to be honest is a good sauce to go with it. The bbq sauce was ok. It also lacked the pickles and onions. I ordered the mashed potatoes and macaroni to go with it. I would prefer a potato salad over the mashed potatoes, but they don't offer that. The macaroni was very good. My kids loved it. They don't serve you at the table you need to order at the register. Next time I'll just pick up and bring it home so I can just add what I need."

"Update/Response: No thank you. Your bum cook shouldn't have allowed it to happen in the 1st place. I meant when I said you lost a loyal customer. Extremely disappointed in this place and I come at least twice a month here for the last year more or less. I paid $30 for a dino rib full of fat and grease (pic below for proof), hardly decent meat. Last time I come here for sure. I should have been suspicious when I was told they needed to check if there was any dino ribs left. Once I got the plate, I was shocked, the rib was slightly smaller than usual and heavily seasoned to give the illusion it had meat. I had to dig through the it to find any decent meat. One thing I do not like is inconsistency and this is a prime example. Ended up throwing the plate away as it was completely inedible and just terrible. FB page and owner sure rambles and hypes up the place for nothing. I would have rather been told they were sold out and got something else than get scammed on that pathetic plate. On the plus side, the service is always great and friendly. This is no reflection of the wonderful staff that are outside."

"Delicious food! I ordered here for the first time and got the 2 for $20 deal. I ordered the spicy pulled pork sandwich and the brisket sandwich. Both sandwiches were really good, I give a slight edge to the brisket sandwich only because I really liked the sauce that came in the brisket better. Sides ordered were the cheesy mashed potatoes, bacon cheddar macaroni, corn fritter, and the street corn (street corn was the tastiest, in my opinion). Great experience overall, a definite must try if you live in south Texas."

"We made a stop in town with a large group. They handled all of orders very well. The food looked good and came out hot but the brisket was dry and tough, bread/bun was awesome, the corn was hard and the Mac and cheese had a tangy taste to it. About 20 minutes later as we boarded the buses, my stomach started hurting and it lasted all night long."

"We stopped for lunch. The brisket was really good. I didn't much care for the black beans, no flavor. Brussel sprouts were just ok. The food portion size was large, probably 2 meals in one for me. I didn't like that there were no refillable drinks, just canned drinks and bottled water. Atmosphere was good, except the music was too loud inside. I would try it again. They serve you in to-go containers and plastic ware."
