"If you haven't been to Laika, you are missing out on a true gem in San Antonio! First, I'll talk about the service. These guys were full of hospitality and smiles. As soon as we walked in the door, we felt like family. The staff knows everything about all of the items they sell and took the time to explain and describe the different cheesecakes. This is a cozy place, so there isn't much room to sit, but it's like a typical European shop... small and cozy. The cheesecake was absolutely delicious, and their coffee options were nice, too. They offer a variety of drinks to satisfy your caffeine fix."

"I tried several flavors (spent a decent chunk of change to do so) and unfortunately wasn't too impressed. In general, it was over sweet to the point of feeling a little burn in my throat. For the price, I was expecting it to knock my socks off. The presentation is pretty good, the shop has a bright clean appearance. The favorite of the 5 or 6 flavors was the regular strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry topping tastes like homemade freezer jam."

"Since we were in the area, we paid a visit to this establishment on Friday, January 26 at around 7 PM. We hear mixed reviews, so we wanted to see for ourselves. I’m going to be honest all around…..The cheesecake is good, if you get the slice that is. My husband is a cheesecake fanatic, but it did not blow us away and is a little pricey! We purchased three mason jars, and two slices. We both more so definitely recommend getting a slice of cheesecake to get more bang for your buck with the slice. The mason jars are super tiny for $7 plus tax. However, The slice is a pretty good size cut, along with beautiful presentation for $9 plus tax which we found the slice was definitely more worth it versus the little mason jars. 2 out of 3 mason jars were a little displeasing due to the crust at the bottom of the jar being a soft, liquid mushy crust, almost like a tres leches. It then made me wonder how long those jars had been sitting out. I don’t think that was suppose To be the consistency of a crust. However, The two slices were not like that and they were a perfect form of sliced cheesecake. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful since it was our first time, and he was very kind and informative. So as far as “Service and atmosphere” that is my only five star rating. The establishment itself is very cute, and they even had free dog treats, one per pet. They definitely have cute, packaging and marketing, but I feel like I’m paying more for the boxes and the mason jars versus the cheesecake."

"Holy smokes - the cheesecake is dope!!! I took a picnic in space and it melted my face! In all seriousness though, this place is great. They’ve got excellent cheesecake and they make everything in house. I didn’t get coffee when I dropped in but they had a huge espresso machine and seeing as how great the cheesecake was I’m sad I didn’t get coffee on the way out. Friendly staff. Highly recommend 10/10!"

"Come early or preorder, y’all. This place is incredible. The Picnic in Space is a combination of lemon blueberry and is my favorite of these four. The classic cheesecake was good. The carrot cake was fantastic! It has an apple layer to it. The Milky Way buffet is a chocolate lovers dream with a mix of milk and dark chocolate. It’s just what you need for that craving."
