Reviews of Revolución Coffee + Juice
"Large space with lots of character. Heavy focus on alternative medicine claims not supported by science, which is deeply disappointing. I don't get why they'd put a couple vegan groceries, like beyond burger patties (no other burger fixings, just patties) for sale in a freezer. It's cool that they have vegan tamales. The tamales are in bulk packs in the freezer and are poorly labeled - pry one loose and buy it. Each costs $5.50, which seems pretty high for a frozen tamale. As for the actual food and drinks: - ACA Blue: 4/10 tastes funny. Not sure if that's because of the spirulina or I'm just not a matcha person. Cute design though. - Lentil walnut taco: 8/10 surprisingly good! And I think the tortilla, lentils and nuts together might make a whole protein. Could use a little bit of sauce or veggies. - Papas rancheras with cashew crema: 5/10 spicy, but pretty bland apart from that. - Revolucion street taco: 4/10 blue corn tortilla. Not sure what that is on top, pickled sliced radishes maybe? Pretty strong. Did not care for the flavor though… very disappointing. - Tamales: 6/10. Thick fluffy corn dough with trace amounts of vegetables inside. A few mushroom slices in one. Thin shreds of vegetable peels in the "spring" one. Didn't taste bad, but could definitely use more filling - and of course, I'm disappointed they come frozen and are so expensive. Props for them at least having some vegan options on the menu."
"Revolution Coffee and Juice offers a refreshing experience with their diverse menu of flavorful coffees and nutritious juices. The cozy ambiance makes it an ideal spot for both work and relaxation. The staff is friendly, and the service is efficient. While the prices are slightly higher, the quality justifies the cost. A great place for a healthy beverage fix!"
"I usually love Revolucion, but today (10/30/23) I had a very poor experience. A young, kind girl with long dark hair took my order, which was a smoothie that I have ordered multiple times in the past. After receiving my order, I walked to my car drinking my smoothie only to quickly realize that the smoothie tasted really awful. It was super bitter and had an awful consistency (picture below). I don’t usually complain about food as I used to be a waitress myself, but at $12 a pop, I at least wanted something edible. I went back in to speak to the girl with the long dark hair and told her my issue. She simply told me that the person who made my smoothie was new but that he was out of training now and that it should have been made correctly. She did not offer to remake my smoothie or even add a missing ingredient. I then requested that she ask the guy who made my smoothie if perhaps he left out an ingredient. She went and asked him and apparently “all of the ingredients to my smoothie were in stock.” That was her only response, and still, she offered no solution. Super disappointed in the service today at Revolucion. Better luck next time, if I ever go back!"
"I love this place. I have come here several times. Drinks and food are tasty. Staff are friendly. The atmosphere are beautiful and spacious. This time my partner and I have ordered Turmeric Spice latte, iced coffee, and Super Avo toast. Every time before I head out this place I always buy a peanut butter and chocolate pie. It is always my favorite. So delicious!"
