Combs' Coffee

"My partner went in to grab me a latte yesterday morning, on the way home from visiting a neighboring business. It was a highly recommended place and I was excited to try it. I was listening to a podcast in the car and after what felt like forever, I looked down to realize my partner had not returned…. 30 minutes later. Almost 40 minutes later we received the order and it was mostly just milk. To the point I could not taste coffee at all, and the milk did not seem steamed. It was incredibly disappointing. I was told that the barista was the only one in the store on a Saturday. I can see how that would put her behind for the shop, but the lack of communication was a big issue to us. Originally she told us 15 minutes, which I would happily wait. But that was not the case. Overall it was a horribly long wait that really put me behind, and not a great cup of coffee. It’s easy to forgive things when you drink a cup of coffee you’d sell your first born for. That was just not the case sadly."

"Waited 30-45 to get a coffee. After I ordered, the lady mentioned that others are waiting. Just one lady managing it. Before someone replies and says no lady works here would be lying! Moreover, once the coffee comes - the coffee is good but need to hire more people"

"Highly disappointed. I ordered a bagel and two iced coffees on an Uber eats order. The bagel came wrapped in a paper towel. Like the kind you see in bathrooms. Absolutely not sanitary at all! Like no bag, no box, not even a real napkin. Just wrapped in bathroom paper towels. What if that had come unraveled in the Uber car? Not to mention it’s just not sanitary in the first place. I had to throw it away. As for the two iced coffees—it’s like they didn’t wait for the driver to arrive to put ice in them. I don’t live too far from there, and the driver was quick, but the coffees arrived with almost completely melted ice. Attempted a sip but they were so watered down. Just tasted like milk water. I had to throw the entire order away and contact Uber support. So don’t order deliver from this place."

"I came in earlier today with my mom, we like to hang around coffee shops and were in the market for a new one, so we ended up at Comb’s after a brief google search. In trying any new coffee shop, I tend to be considerably anxious about it because I’m a little picky about how my coffee is made but oh. My. God. Upon first entering it was fragrant, and welcoming, and the atmosphere, despite being virtually windowless, was unique, cozy, and very friendly. As was the staff! Amongst being super knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, the man had a lot to say about it, and I thought it was really interesting learning about it! I’ve also never seen a coffee shop so passionate about what it’s selling. AS WELL AS SOLAR POWERED!!!! SOLAR!!!!!!! POWERED!!!!!!! That’s so sick!!! I appreciate that a lot! This also had to be some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. It had this like perfect balance of having that coffee flavor, without being too bitter, or overpowering the other notes in the drink. I ordered an iced mocha (I think? It’s been a long time since this morning), and it was smooth, nutty, and altogether just amazing. I’ve had nothing that compares to it. There are also tons. And tons. And tons of options in terms of drinks. Was it a little hard to find the shop? I mean, sure, but it only took us one lap around the row of buildings to notice the entrance sign and figure it out! The mural also helps give it away. And was it also a little pricey? Yeah, but to be fair, coffee is expensive these days, and it honestly probably isn’t the most I’ve ever spent on a coffee, and it’s great quality too anyways! Give it a shot if you ever have the chance, well for sure be back next we have the time to :)"
