Reviews
"Great gelato, and a good variety of flavors, like hazelnut, pistachio, black cherry. The thing that stands out is how carefully they decorate your cone with flower shaped gelato scoops, beautiful and delicious. You may find a line, and it may take a while due to the decorations, but it is totally worth it."
"This is our favorite Gelato place. The young man who is always there, is always super friendly and welcoming. Gelato flavors are seasonal however some you will always find available year round. It's our go-to place for when our teen gets an outstanding report card! They have hooks to hang purses/backpacks under their tables. Also available, are plug in outlets to charge electronics behind their beautiful and comfy booths where you sit. Can't forget to mention their napkins are always fully stocked and a bonus- a diaper changing station in the unisex bathroom. You are able to get different flavors in your cups at no additional charge and samples, too."
"It was my first time and i was pretty happy with everything. The gelato is really good! The only thing is the staff seemed a little annoyed when we walked in 15 min before closing."
"Had a good experience here at Amorino Gelato. We got the classic cone, and essentially unlimited flavors of gelato that's nicely formed into a flower petal and added onto the cone. I decided to add a macron on top of the cone as well. Enjoyed my late night dessert."
"After a horrible experience on our first trip to Amorino’s, we gave it another try this week. Located in the upscale area of Clearfork, this gelato shop is beautifully decorated and very popular place on the weekends! While I still MUCH prefer Joy’s Macaroons and Ice Cream Sandwiches over Amorino’s Gelato, it’s might be worth a stop if you enjoy Gelato. Warning: Before I proceed, I have a warning… they will let you try as many flavor samples as you’d like, BUT they won’t allow you to exchange your Gelato if it’s inedible like the “Coffee” flavor which is extremely black, bitter and unsweet! The Coffee Gelato is so bad that they admitted they should warn people when they order it. I lost out on $9.00 worth of Gelato because I didn’t ask for a sample and I didn’t ask if it was sweet vs bitter. You’re a professional Gelato oeficionado after reading my review and you won’t make that mistake! I was so offended by the way they handled the situation several years ago with the Coffee Gelato that I threw it away in front of them and it kept me from not going back until this weekend. The petal shaped Gelato presentation atop the cone is perfectly Instagram-able, but can also be enjoyed straight from a cup if you’re counting calories. They let you pick multiple flavors of gelato, so no need to worry about missing out on other flavors! I got the cone and my husband chose the cup, but we both picked three different flavors of Gelato. Our order: I enjoyed Pistachio, Coconut and Tiramisu and he chose Pistachio, Stracciatella and Tiramisu. You can add a Macaroon to your Gelato for an additional fee. Not in the mood for Gelato? They also offer Crepes, Waffles, Macaroons, Gelato drinks and hot drinks like Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate and Cappuccino’s. Pros: The option to try before you buy is a great way to decide which flavors you like and save you money on mistakes. They offer both inside seating and a small patio area for seating. Cons: Parking is almost impossible in front of the store, so allow enough time to park in the parking garage and walk to the store. They definitely charge top dollar for their Gelato and drinks, so prepare to spend about $15.00 for two Gelato’s + a tip since you can’t go anywhere without someone expecting one anymore for a basic service that should be covered by the price. I will 100% chose Joy’s Macaroons over this place EVERY day of the year and do not plan to return."
