"Food was good. Service was bad. We would sit for large amounts of time with no menu, no drinks, no water, no silverware, no one checking on us at all. We saw the waitress(es) standing around talking (which normally I don't mind), so we knew they weren't too busy. I think maybe they forgot us or were new. The food was really cool."

"I happened upon this place during a road trip as I was burnt out of fast food and wanted to try something unique and local, and what a pleasant surprise this was! Highly recommend the Redneck Sushi if you want BBQ brisket with a twist, it's complimented well with a horse radish based sauce that is great! All Beef is lean, tender and packed with flavor. Their menu is fairly large. If you have a large appetite try your hand at the Triple Decker King Brisket! If you're in the road and looking to get out of typical fast food and want to experience a local dive. This is definitely one for the books!"

"We always visit, and I mean ALWAYS, Sweetipie’s but decided to give Rooster’s one good try. We were not disappointed! We were seated immediately and our orders were taken to the kitchen promptly. The food took less than half an hour to receive despite the busyness of Friday lunch rush. We started off with a half-order of bacon cheese fries which were soooo good! They are served with ranch. I ordered a patty melt since it was starred on the menu as a favorite. It was amazing, the sweet caramelization of cooked onion topped a cheeseburger and had a delicious sauce. I could only finish half the sandwich, it’s huge. It comes with homemade chips, they were actually better than I was expecting. My kiddo had the Texas sliders (kid’s meal comes with 2 sliders and the adult slider meal comes with 3). Hubby ordered a meat plate, which I thought was just okay. The sausage piece I sampled from his plate was over-cooked and tasted like it had been reheated because it was too chewy (like it gets when you microwave something too many times). I’m picky about smoked meat though, so I don’t order unless I see it being smoked in front of me (ie Hard Eight). I do have a few cons to point out, but I didn’t deduct stars since overall it was an enjoyable visit. Our server didn’t keep our drinks full; however, she did walk over after we had our food to ask if we needed anything. Also, she didn’t offer to-go boxes even when she noticed how much food we had leftover. We really had a lot leftover, my half sandwich, my child’s slider and fries, and my husband brisket plus my chips. Plenty of food to take home for later!! There is a bar so if you are looking for a Date Night idea, perhaps Rooster’s would be a spot to try in the evening hours."

"Everything was tasty! Especially the smoked Turkey! The sausage for me was a tad overdone though. We each got a 2 plate entree.. plenty filling! We really liked our sides, beans and rice and cowboy coleslaw. Good service too"

"Always enjoyed going to roosters. My blackened chicken bowl was very filling. They had just the right amount of chicken, rice, and corn. If I would’ve thought about it, I would’ve asked to add black beans! Hubby had the cheese buffalo burger with french fries. The burger had mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and a fried egg! The french fries were good and crispy. We enjoy going here whenever. We are passing through Decatur. 5 stars!"
