"Excellent food. I had the tortellini with meat sauce. Awesome. Good portion (quantity), cooked slightly audente, with a sauce that was a nice balance of tomato, garlic, and meat. Our server (April) was prompt, very friendly, and patient/accommodating. The atmosphere was nice--lighting was low, creating a nice ambiance, but it made it a little difficult to read the menu. We stayed past closing, and they didi not "run us out", which was nice."
"I ordered the angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce and burcetta. The pasta was good, could use more favor. The burcetta was terrible. The veggies were swimming in the vinegar. It all looked brown - not very appealing. It was not worth the $11. I will not order that again. Think I’ll drive a wee bit farther to Roanoke to the Italian place there."
"Our server, Isais was great. The house Italian salad dressing taste like marinara sauce or ketchup. The house salad consists of one sliced tomato but nice leafy greens topped with shredded mozzarella. The frutti de mare had healthy helpings of mussels, clams, and prawns however the linguini was over cooked. My partners lobster ravioli was tasteless ie cannot taste lobster and drowned in overwhelming white cream sauce. Stuffed mushroom appetizer was also drowned in the same white cream sauce and you can taste the breading in the mushroom. I’ve had much better elsewhere. Minestrone was chunky and flavor was so so but for a cup it was quite generous. The house cab and merlot was good. Tiramisu was tastey too. What do you think?—With tip, $89 for two for average food. We heard the pizza is made in house so we’ll try that for takeout next time. There is outdoor seating so nice dining in October."
