"Food did not live up to expectations I was told. Cash only, had to walk next door to use ATM. Service was absolutely horrible. Mary herself is quite rude. Very disappointed. Will make NO attempt to try to bilingually understand you. With so many Mexican restaurants down in South Texas why not go the extent to be better. Only reason Mary's is still in business is because of Rio Hondo itself, once there are other alternatives, it will go the way of the cart and buggy. Try it yourself."

"I loved the shaded parking. Arrived at 1045, menu says breakfast until 1030, Mary said ok to order breakfast. Both of our meals were fantastic. Service friendly and quick. This is the best diner in town. I do not understand when I search "restaurants nearby" this does not show up on Google Maps."
