"Stopped and got 2 Sandwich plates to go. Got them home and was so pleased. The sandwich was heaped with sliced brisket. The meat was moist and tender. The potato salad was very good. They didn't forget a single thing. We had plastic ware, napkins, BBQ sauce, pickles and onions. Kudo's to Heavy 's. The price was good also. Less than $28.00 for 2."
"Tried this place out for the first time and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy, the turkey was moist, the brisket had the right amount of smoke, the sausage was good, and the ribs were fall of the bone good. Loved the potato salad! Would definitely go again."
"YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY BARBECUE!!!!!! We went to get some barbecue with my grandmother and grandfather. We traveled about 43-48 mins to get there. The place was very comforting and the food was very tasty. Made my tummy happy. The barbecue sauce sent me up to HEAVEN. The food is perfect greasy and juicy and I loved it. Very cool place."
"Had been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to stop and try it out. Got the brisket plate with beans and potato salad. Plate was loaded heavy with sliced brisket. They also included onions, pickles, bbq sauce, and two slices of bread. The cutter and employees behind the counter were courteous and polite. Inside the place looked like a typical Texas BBQ restaurant with TV in the corner and deer heads on the walls. The brisket was amazing good, cooked perfectly with a nice smooth smoky flavor. The potato salad was excellent. The beans were choice to my surprise, cooked perfectly and had nice seasoning. Place was busy at around noonish with about half the orders for takeout. This place is a must if your are into BBQ. Highly recommended for sure!"
"Got into Heavy’s pretty late one weekday, like 30min before they close. They were courteous and attentive regardless of the stunt we pulled. Wife was hungry and got the one meat plate, I got their special. That brisket is to die for. Amazing flavor and tenderness. If on 90 and heading towards SA it’s a must stop. The drive back was heaven with that aroma and flavor still lingering on. They are doing amazing work there, and I think it’s the best closest to SA BBQ."
