"We ordered the Mexican plate to get a variety of items and because we thought the choice of meat was nice, (beef, chicken, fajita). They didn't have the fajita option and replaced it with beef without telling us. No big deal, but we also ordered the two enchiladas with chicken and got beef, and chicken in two of the tacos which should have been beef. We also ordered sour cream with two of the meals that we didn't get, but the people dining with me didn't want to go in to ask about it. We are outside which was nice because we had our dogs with us. Food was good, but certainly had no spice in it at all. We were expecting a little more in terms of heat in the food. All in all, the food was good and the person waiting on us was friendly, but I think we were all expecting a little more at $13 a plate."
"We drive through Lakey a lot this time we stopped since it was on the way. As soon as we walked in there was a foul smell as if someone had thrown up. The place is dirty and dingy. Our food was fine nothing wow about it waitress was friendly and tried. When we sat down there was a small roach (German) that I didn’t see my daughter did but didn’t mention it until after, yes I was upset that she didn’t mention it sooner). There is just one bathroom for both men and women and it’s out dated and dirty. It got pretty Smokey in their eye still birth two hours after. Don’t recommend this place AT ALL. First and last time."
"We were visiting and slim pickings for open dining (or opening anything) on a Sunday. Holiday weekend. We stumbled in on this place thought we would try. Service isn’t great, we sat ourselves in the largest table we found they were generally nice but still had old dirty dishes and they didn’t remove them until we prompted them to, and definitely never wiped it down. Unfortunately the food started out with good flavor but there was a ROACH (German) on the plate of pancakes (cooked roach). My stomached turned they wanted to being fresh batch but grosss!!!!! No way will I ever eat there or likely be at leaky ever again without packing my own food. Probably infested I couldn’t eat the rest of my food or drink anymore coffee. ☹️. They only removed the pancakes from bill but I was ready to run out and not pay for any of it!!! Needless to say I been to many mom and pop places but they need to learn to clean and run a better business. They have good food but it is dirty much to my dismay I couldn’t eat the rest of the day. Oh and it is pretty smoky in there it made my eyes burn."
"A Park Ranger recommended this little spot in Leakey, TX. Glad we made the stop to have some delicious breakfast! A must are the chilaquiles plate and barbarcoa tacos."
