"If you’re going to/through Leakey, TX, you have to stop at the Hog Pen. The smoked boudin is to die for and when they have it…the potato salad is a must. All of the food is worth the visit and their customer service is top notch. We’ve been lucky enough to catch Jaret’s (owner) Dad for some wonderful stories!"

"Open air eatery with authentic Texas bbq. Some of the best smoked meats you’ll ever have. I ordered a brisket sandwich and it was better than most! The meat was juicy, not too fatty and the smoke flavor was gourmet. I’d consider the 4 hour drive just to eat here again. That’s how much I enjoyed it. No pics of the food since I was too excited to chow down. It’s no frills, just good food made with love."
