"We loved the chicken fried steak (amazing gravy, actual steak perfectly cooked) and cold shiner at this charming cafe! Upgrading the nachos to fajita meat was definitely worthwhile. It was the perfect post hike meal. The server was a gem and we will definitely return on future trips."

"A tiny place but has a small porch area to enjoy the weather when it’s nicer! It was too cold outside this time around to sit out there. The food is good, no complaints here! The chicken tenders plate was real good, warm and crunchy! Everybody enjoyed their meals. The company was nice, lots of conversations going on but it was nice to chat. Will most likely come again when visiting next time!"

"Great screened in porch area. Modest dive - seats about 30. Fantastic tamales. Fresh. Salsa had a good taste, but kick I couldn’t handle. I liked the chips. Menu very hard to read. Chatty staff willing to advise things to do and places to go for visitors."

"Totally loved the food. If you guys plan for a trip to Big Bend National park you can check for cabins and stays near this restaurant. Near this restaurant you have multiple stay options. This is the only restaurant you can find in the park. Dropped in for lunch and Ordered fries, vegetable enchiladas and it was very good. Very friendly staffs and cool place. The sauce taste was unique and very good. Has a good parking lots too."
