"Oh, My, God! I LOVE THIS PLACE. I moved to canyon 2 years ago, before that I lived in Miami Florida. Now in my 40 years I've worked in over 200 restaurants throughout South Florida and before that almost every restaurant in Amarillo and Canyon and before that my father owned a restaurant here in canyon. Now turns out canyon has a well-kept secret. It's this little place right off the main road. Called The Ranch House Cafe. Now, not just all the restaurants that I've been through, but all the restaurants I didn't work at my friends did some naturally I got to know their kitchens as well. So believe me it is an understatement when I say, I have never in my 40 years seen a kitchen as clean, and meticulous as The Ranch House Cafe. I was not just impressed. I was floored. I could not believe the clarity of the oil in the fryer. The shine of the stainless steel. I thought surely this was a new restaurant, or that they had just updated their kitchen. Everything looked almost new. I took time to speak with the owner. Come to find out the level of care, consideration and extra steps this woman in her staff take to give the customer a heart healthy all around "good for you" meal. I asked her because this is nowhere in her advertising nor is it posted anywhere. As a matter of fact The ranch House Cafe does little to no advertising at all. Also surprising they have little to no social media presence. I could only assume that with all the time and effort that these people put into our food. That there's no time left at the end of the day. The owner talked about how the ranch house has been there for over 30 years, and doesn't need to advertise. Because the food speaks for itself. She joked, "even if you can always get it fast, you get what you want, while getting what you need." I absolutely LOVE this place."
"Wow! All four of us enjoyed our breakfast feast! The service was spectacular and the food was scrumptious! We will be back!"
"I had a stuffed pancake (bacon) with an over medium egg on top. I made this up and they make it for me when requested. Delicious, and one of many things I like about the Ranch House, you ask and they do their best to deliver. Sausage is great too, or both if you are feeling the love. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed! Warning, pancakes are large but you can order a small pancake (see photo for a small, a large fills the plate). Best breakfast in town, I’ve eaten at them all. And best coffee."
"Food was ok. Very small portions, honestly wasn’t worth the price. They charge for everything. The chips and salsa were “never ending” but they brought one extra and said it was the bottom of the bag. We ordered a bowl of homemade Mac and cheese for $6 that was less than a cup was not even half a small bowl. Ordered a breakfast omelette “plate” for $11 and had to pay $3 extra for hash browns. Paid $100 for two omelettes, a side of hash browns, one pancake, a salad, and a tiny bowl of Mac and cheese and chips and salsa. If you have a family to feed and need to be cost conscious this is not the place for you. If you do go please read the menu very carefully! You can make everything they made to taste the same or better for less than $25. Will not be going back!"
"This is a classic Amarillo diner there breakfast was phenomenal and loved it very much had the breakfast burrito and it was out of this world. Would highly recommend if you’re going through Amarillo during breakfast time stop by and fill your belly up hit the road."
