"In search of Amarillo’s best pizza, discovered this place through word of mouth. We stopped in for early dinner on a Saturday night, no other customers. Ordered BBQ wings, and we were able to get separate pizzas on each half of the pie; Burrata and spinach and mushroom with red sauce. Both were excellent and the crust was just right. Not quite NY style, but dang near close. They have a couple of domestic beers in cans available, but the place is BYOB as well. Friendly staff with some good background tunes (“Dunk” by Noiseshaper)"
"My hubby & I agree - 5 stars! Food was fresh, interesting, quick and the staff were awesome. Pizzeria Nomad wasn't our planned choice, but so glad we happened upon it. We were traveling and wanted to try Doug's Bar-B-Que which was closed. Heads up he sells out very early and then is closed. As we were discussing where else to go, we noticed the steady the flow of business here. It advertised Wood Fired Pizza so we were drawn in. So glad. We had sit down service and were greeted warmly & attentively. Tori asked if we'd been in before and because we hadn't she shared that they make 12" pizza which serve 1-2 and many people add a salad or appetizer to have a full meal. We got the Spinach Arugula salad with the most amazing/flavorful dark Grapes, Walnuts, Sun-Dried Tomato, Feta with a Creamy Bacon Vinaigrette. Because we still had BBQ on the brain we selected the Brisket Pie. I'm sorry to say o neglected to the other we lady's name, but she was a wealth of knowledge on how Pizza Nomad came to be. How the owner started in a food truck and built his own wood-fired pizza oven they use. We will keep Pizza Nomad on our list of places to stop while traveling through Amarillo."
"Good, wood-fired pizza with a casual atmosphere and vibe. They have creative pies and menu items that stand out from the national chains. On our most recent visit we got takeout - a medium brisket pie add jalapeno and olives and two 8-packs of wings (hot honey and Cajun). The pizza had a nice fire-flavored crust and good flop for folding. The crust ends are tender and a treat on their own. Each box of wings had 5 drums and 3 wingettes, not sure if that is by design. The Cajun are a dry rub type with good Old Bay-style seasoning, pretty mild and would really elevate with more cayenne pepper. The hot honey was more sweet than hot. All the chicken was tender and didn't need to be dipped. They have BYOB for dine-in with a cafe vibe. Cool local place I recommend trying."
"I couldn't get enough of that salad!! Ranch is not what I expected but it was good. Pizza was good but I would have been fine with the salad alone. The salad was picture perfect, fresh and sweet because of the cherry tomatoes. Besides the pizza and salad, we also ordered Lemon Pepper and Buffalo flavored wings. The wings were flavorful and delicious. My husband and I agreed that the wings had a unique flavor;) I was disappointed only with the flavor of tea. Service was on point though and a lady and guy teamed up to serve our group of 12 with excellence. Last but not least, this restaurant had a really cool mural on their building. Unique place for sure. I'm glad the ranch and wings tasted different than what we are used to because it made the restaurant even more unique!"
"Pizza heaven on earth. Simply, WOW! The ingredients are super fresh and the sour dough crust is a different story. Portions are very generous. Wings, burger and the Philly cheese steak were all super delicious. Shout out to the lovely lady who served us. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness. We will definitely stop by every time we drive by Amarillo."
