Reviews of Waggin' Tails Bark Park
"Great day @ the dog park. Max met two new friends."
"Easy to access park. (Requires registration with the park service of Lawrence to receive a key tag). Loads of space, a great dog/human water fountain, and some nice benches. We've not yet been there when other dogs are there which is both positive and negative."
"The park is in good condition, and every person/ dog we've met there has been nice. They only real complaint (and it's a big one) is that the gate lock is garbage. People can get in and out without a key way too easily, and the city really needs to fix it. There's also a lot of uncleaned dog "piles" left by inattentive people."
"There aren't really activities for dogs to do here. The area right in front of the entrance had no grass, so when it rains, it becomes a huge mud puddle that dogs always run through. Half of the time, even in great weather, there is no one here. I hate taking my dog for her to run around by herself and look anxiously out the gate for another dog"
"I have taken my Great Dane here for the last 2 years and in the past year it seems that there are never any other dogs there? The whole reason we got him a membership was so he could interact with other dogs in an unleashed setting. I agree with the reviewers that too many underage kids are running amuck and it's frustrating because my dog is far from aggressive but he also doesn't realize how big he is. So when the unsupervised children run at him he thinks it's go time. This usually ends with him knocking a kid over and the kid crying. My dog should be able to run about freely without the distraction of kids that don't know how to behave. We will be joining another dog park rather than renewing our current membership."
