Reviews of The Raven
"Holiday World’s smallest thrill coaster, but it packs a punch. It’s my second favorite ride here, besides Voyage."
"Good woody definitely a fun ride my favorite part is the 60 foot drop midway through the ride I also love the laterals and intense ride experience, it can be a bit rattly but I don't think it's that bad, overall very fun cci and I would definitely recommend it"
"This was the first ride I rode when I went to Holiday World. It's a short wooden coaster with a picturesque lakeside wooded setting. I rode it in the morning when the park opened. I was like," Eh nothing special." But whoooo boy did Raven warm up. Three or fours later it was blazing through it's layout with some of the best pacing and laterals I've experienced on a coaster yet! It's 2800 feet long, but it doesn't feel that long because it is hauling. It's Holiday World's oldest wooden coaster and you can tell. It was definitely the roughest of the three woodies. Probably because it has an ambitious layout. It tracked quite well and it's roughness complimented it's sense of speed. If the ride was smoother I wouldn't have loved it as much. Do not miss out on this coaster. It's neighboring coaster Legend was also excellent, but hands down I preferred Raven. The fifth drop was over hyped, the first drop was better than I thought it would be. And the last half of the ride is amazing. Great wooden coaster that gets overshadowed, understandably so by Voyage."
"Very sleek this season with refreshed trains and the reprofiled track around the lake! Great views of Lake Rudolph. This coaster is fantastic if you're looking for an introductory coaster for wooden coasters, as it's not too large and imposing and keeps the speeds relatively low while still providing an enjoyable experience. A good warm-up for Legend."
"The Raven is one of my favorite wooden coasters ever built. It has a layout swallowed by the woods, with a first drop into a tunnel, a turn over water, and four other sharp drops, including the sharpest final drop that plunges straight into the woods, leading to a low to the ground finale of fast turns and quick speed hills before you screech to a halt. It's pulse pounding and amazing to ride. I recommend front for the best sense of speed during the finale."
