Reviews of Eagle Slough Natural Area
"A nice flat, short trail through the woods and wetlands. It was a nice walk and ended at an overlook looking out over the water."
"Short, flat hike on well maintained trail. Great path for kids and folks that don't get around as well as they used to. There's a large tree across the path about 1/3rd of the way that requires a step over or a duck through right now, though. And to the jerkoff that left the fake $100 bills that are just slips of paper with bible verses on them, and flyers for your church everywhere: You're a litterbug. Your god is frowning at you."
"Lovely walk. The trees were dense and it really gave you a feeling of solitude that I enjoyed. The view is nice. Not a long walk but a great way to spend a morning. It was a good find during my visit to the area. The drawback was that every time I went, there were people in the parking lot. On one occasion, a very disoriented lady was sitting in her car with the engine on blocking the lot entrance. I suspect it's a place for people to get high, which made me decide to walk elsewhere. That's just kinda creepy when you're alone."
"1st trip there. After the recent flooding it was a little rough looking. I will definitely visit again! Lots of signage identifying trees and various birds. Easy 1.6mi walk."
"I love how well the trail is cleaned up recently. I dislike the damage that some trail goers have caused. Recent events have not been good at showcasing a very nice trail system. Ex. Spray painted benches, broken signs marking trails. I enjoy the place itself as a top local spot to see wildlife through many seasons. It's also an easy stroll with a pleasant overlook at the end."
