Reviews of Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area Visitor Center
"If you have never gone you have to go when the sand hill Crain's are there. Unbelievable sight to see that many birds"
"This is an excellent example of how public and private partnerships can work together to do something great for people and natural resources. This area has restored nearly 9000 acres of marginal farmland to wetlands. The result has been a return of migratory flyways by hundreds of species with many being considered threatened or even endangered. The Indiana DNR owns and manages it today with public access."
"An awesome place to visit for those who like wild life. We go there a few times in winter to see geese, cranes, whooping cranes, swans, and eagles. UPDATE: A snow owl is the new visitor in the refuge."
"A wonderful place to learn and watch birds. Set on a hill overlooking the Goose Pond, pastures, and fields. The Sandhill and Whooping Cranes are in the area right now as well as Snow Geese. The visitors center is currently staffed 9-5 M-S and 12-5 Sunday. They have trails and parking areas all over the Goose Pond. (Please do not park along the highway.) Nearby, the Greene-Sullivan Forest has a number of unique ponds and plenty of wildlife viewing as well."
