Wampler Lake Goodman Road, Dugger, IN 47848

"Camped here for the first time over the weekend. I loved it!! Wampler lake is easily accessible from Wampler campground. There’s a couple of boat ramps nearby. They have vault toilets and water spouts. I would suggest that if you have small children, to stay at the campground at reservoir 26, as there is a playground and it’s more open, for running and playing. The fingers of land that go out into the water at Wampler campground are narrow and the water is very deep and cold. I believe there is no swimming as well. We only stayed one night, but it was lovely. It is very difficult to put in tent stakes in the ground because it’s very rocky/gravelly. Bug spray/citronella torches are a must! The water is very close to the campsites and bugs can be bothersome. Lots of wildlife, we heard bullfrogs and coyotes all night. Even had a mink run through our campsite in the evening. Wonderful little slice of paradise for fishermen."

"Love the views and the campgrounds. Always a fun time there! There are nice outhouses aslo that are usually pretty maintained. Fire pits at ever site, dumpsters for your trash and hunting and fishing is aloud. It does cost to camp but its less then $20 a night woch i think is cheap for the beautiful views!"

"Family has been going here at least 25 yrs. Fishing was great! Last few times we havent caught anything out of 5-6 different lakes down there. Nice get away with bathrooms, parks & water."
