Reviews
"Beautiful area, the preserve itself needs some work with the walking platforms. Some parts can get flooded and are worn. However, I understand how difficult it can be to get the funding for something like that."
"LOVE LOVE LOVE this preserve! It's perfect for 30-45 minute walks (over an hour if you're like me and my sister and take pictures constantly lol). This past spring I saw baby Midland water snakes with my fiance and my sister and I saw our first gorgeous Northern water snake a few weeks ago! I love all the nature surrounding this area and love finding new species I haven't found before. This is definitely one of the best preserves in the area to visit!"
"Heavily shaded marsh forest. The trail is wide and well built including steel paths over wetlands. Very buggie and humid in summer so spray yourself well before entering. I've never seen another person there during weekdays. It's a special place."
"This is a hidden gem! I wish I had found it sooner. There is a lot to see. If you are interested in seeing birds bring binoculars. There were a few wet spots when we went. We actually went home, put on rubber boots, and went back. I can't wait to visit again in the spring."
"The back part of the trail is closed due to storm damage but everything we saw was really nice and the trail is well maintained. The boardwalk makes it very easy to walk. I'd love to go back when the trail is fixed. My only suggestion is make sure to take some kind of mosquito repellent. It's a must!"
