"It's a nice peninsula in the back past the train tracks. You can park your cars back there. Walk around. Let your dogs run around. Not worry about them. Getting ran over by traffic or cars. Very peaceful and pretty"
"My family enjoyed this park. The nature was beautiful, the park was quiet. There's a huge weeping willow tree and a bridge you can walk across. The park sits along the the Kankakee river so if you want to fish you can while your kids play in the park area. There is a wooden playground mostly for smaller kids and a swing set. My kids are older and had alot of fun playing on the merry-go-round. Definitely will visit again."
"This is a gem of a park along the Kankakee River in momence Illinois. It has public flush toilet bathroom picnic tables, huge mature trees, no playground. Historically, in the early eighteen-hundreds a train brought visitors from in and around Chicago to spend quality nature time in the country."
"Great first experience, river streaming through the town and the banks almost to the brim with willow trees hanging it looked very much a English country side. Within the core market there were all sorts of Americana memorabilia to political banners to home made and vintage/old toys etc. Car show was great to see old American cars and how well they were kept. It seemed a bit disorganised as I have been told from previous years. Goods train passing through near the park was a sight to watch too. Overall great first experience."
"Beautiful. Peaceful. Serene. You can see something beautiful everywhere you look! Clean, friendly visitors there, as well as local residents taking advantage of this park. Whether it's the playground equipment or just walking or sitting down watching the river..it's nice. We enjoy late afternoons / early evenings there. Family friendly. Stop by and feed the ducks & geese! They love grapes and seeds. Always check what you should feed the birds & only give what's best for them!"
