"If you are from the area, you definitely know about brookside park! One of the things i appreciate most is their pricing for rentals... $25 for a shelter with picnic tables for a whole day, and $60 per hour, after hour, pool rental. Such a good deal, especially compared to Demotte or Lafayette, where even just shelter rental is almost $100. Their is a big pool with a diving board, and then a kiddie pool that is all like a foot deep maybe? They have a couple different areas with play equipment, basketball hoops, a track that surrounds a soccer field, tennis courts, and newly renovated baseball fields, but I think only certain people can use those."

"One of the largest parks in the area. Swimming pools (1 LG. pool & 1 baby wade pool) a few baseball fields, grills & lots of picnic tables, 2 playgrounds & equipment, tennis court, basketball court, volleyball area, soccer field, several shelters, restrooms, generous parking, walking path, frisbee golf.. and it's close to I-65, restaurants, truck stop, & Dollar General for last minute picnic/party items! Very lovely ☺️ (Can NOT stress enough that people REALLY need to clean up after pets!!! Dog FECES contaminates ground water & spreads DISEASE!!!) KEEP OUR PARKS SAFE & CLEAN!!! **THEY JUST ADDED a NEW building for inside gatherings! Located on South side of park, a paved walkway leads to covered porch bldg. that has a few steps (no ramp or air. yet) & several windows. ~OPENS DAWN TIL 11PM~ **Just a few seconds past the park (on Lincoln) there's a fenced DOG PARK (with water station & sm. shelter w/ table) where you can let your dogs run unleashed POO BAGS are ALWAYS provided! NOTE: You need to contact park department for access code before entering. ∆RULES ARE POSTED OUTSIDE∆"
